I have a 2005 Volvo s40. and the passenger side windows have stopped working as has the central locking on passenger side. I have checked the fuse for the doors and windows which I believe is #,82

does passenger mean right side (LHD) or left on Right hand side car(RHD)?????? no country told so know drive side guessed. Front doors, not rear. F18,feeds f83 left and f82 right. a window can fail for many reasons, bad window motor RDM or jammed up guides at window the PDM right side bad. the switchs right side bad grounds at right door motor bad. 31/116 (G) the master door control send network commands to right side door. there are 4 major components in just the right door front. why not scan the PCM first (OBD2) port for DTC errors from right door. front.? that be 2nd step after fuses.

2010 xc60 volvo Does the throttle body have to be reset after cleaning

Yes, it is recommended to perform a throttle body adaptation or reset procedure after cleaning the throttle body on a 2010 Volvo XC60. This is because cleaning the throttle body can remove built-up carbon deposits and change the air flow through the throttle body, which can affect the engine's idle speed and performance. To perform the adaptation or reset procedure, follow these steps:
  1. Reinstall the cleaned throttle body and reconnect all electrical connectors and hoses.
  2. Turn the ignition key to the "On" position, but do not start the engine.
  3. Wait for 30 seconds to allow the throttle body to initialize.
  4. Turn off the ignition key and wait for 10 seconds.
  5. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes with all electrical accessories turned off.
  6. Turn off the engine and wait for 10 seconds.
  7. Restart the engine and take it for a test drive to ensure proper idle speed and performance.
If the engine still does not idle well after performing the throttle body reset procedure, there may be other issues causing the problem, such as a vacuum leak or a faulty sensor.

Volvo fl 10 valve clearance

The valve clearance specification for a Volvo FL10 truck depends on the specific engine model and year of manufacture. Generally, the valve clearance for the FL10 truck with a Volvo D10 engine should be checked and adjusted as follows: Remove the valve cover: Remove the valve cover to access the valves. Rotate the engine: Rotate the engine to the top dead center (TDC) position for the cylinder you want to adjust. Check the valve clearance: Use a feeler gauge to check the clearance between the valve stem and the rocker arm. The specification for the valve clearance should be listed in the engine service manual. Adjust the valve clearance: If the clearance is not within the specified range, adjust the clearance by loosening the lock nut on the rocker arm and turning the adjustment screw. Tighten the lock nut when the clearance is correct. Repeat for each cylinder: Repeat the above steps for each cylinder. Reinstall the valve cover: Once all the valve clearances have been checked and adjusted, reinstall the valve cover. It is recommended to refer to the engine service manual for specific instructions and specifications for your particular Volvo FL10 engine.

I crashed my Volvo s80 2007 3.2 and worked on putting it back together and it won't cracked or start and I can't pull out the fob I thought it might be the shut off full switch but I can't find it?

If your 2007 Volvo S80 3.2 is not starting after being involved in an accident, there could be a number of issues that need to be addressed. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Ignition switch: The ignition switch is responsible for sending power to the starter motor and other electrical components. If the switch is damaged or not working properly, the engine will not start.
  2. Battery: After an accident, the battery may have been damaged or disconnected. Check to make sure the battery is fully charged and connected properly.
  3. Fuel system: The fuel system may have been damaged in the accident, preventing fuel from reaching the engine. Check the fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure to make sure they are working properly.
  4. Starter motor: The starter motor is responsible for turning the engine over when the key is turned. If the starter motor is damaged, the engine will not start.
  5. Shut-off switch: Some Volvo models have a shutoff switch that is triggered in the event of an accident to prevent the engine from starting. This switch may have been triggered and needs to be reset.
  6. Key fob: The key fob needs to be in the car for the car to start. If the key fob won't come out of the ignition, it may be that the key fob is jammed inside the ignition and needs to be pulled out.
It's very likely that the shutoff switch is the cause of the problem, as you suspected. You should check your car's owner manual or contact a Volvo dealership or a professional mechanic to help you locate the shut-off switch and check if it is the cause of the problem. It's also possible that the accident caused multiple issues and it's best to have the car properly inspected by a professional.

Hi 2016 Volvo V40 C2 just been serviced at Volvo, after a few days found park assist working intermittently. I had it back to Volvo and they can't find fault. Any ideas, thanks.

Various help here, but as the reversing lights don't work, my guess is an intermittent fault in the shift lever switch. Your question appears in this link, but attributed to other sites. https://www.google.com/search?q=2016+Volvo+V40+C2+park+assist+working+intermittently ..

Need help with Unresponsive Driver Side Power Seat Controls and SRS Air Bag Warning Message on 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i

If you are experiencing unresponsive driver side power seat controls and an SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbag warning message on your 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i, it could be caused by a few different issues, such as:
  1. Faulty seat control module: The seat control module is responsible for controlling the power seat functions. If it is faulty, the seat controls may not work and the airbag warning message may appear.
  2. Wiring issue: A damaged or corroded wire connection can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  3. Sensors issue: The seat and airbag system rely on a variety of sensors to function properly. If any of these sensors are malfunctioning, it can cause the seat controls to become unresponsive and the airbag warning message to appear.
  4. Airbag module: The airbag module is responsible for controlling the airbags in the vehicle. If it is faulty, the airbag warning message will appear.
It's best to have a professional technician diagnose the problem and recommend the appropriate course of action. Sometimes, the problem can be solved by replacing a faulty module, repairing or replacing damaged wiring or sensors, but in some cases the repair may be more complex. It's important to note that the airbag warning light should be taken seriously and repaired as soon as possible, as it can indicate a problem with the airbag system that could affect the safety of the vehicle in case of a collision.

Where would a rke module for a 2010 volvo s80 v6 be located at

The remote keyless entry (RKE) module for a 2010 Volvo S80 V6 is typically located in the trunk of the vehicle, near the spare tire. It is a small module that is responsible for controlling the functions of the remote keyless entry system, such as locking and unlocking the doors, activating the alarm, and starting the engine using the remote. To locate the RKE module, you may need to remove the trim panel or carpeting in the trunk. If you are unable to find the module or are unsure of its location, you may want to consult your owner's manual or a repair manual for your specific model of Volvo S80. Alternatively, you can try contacting a Volvo dealership or a mechanic for assistance.
