1997 mercury mountaineer v8 Started drove and ran hot stopped turned off added coolant now won't start all instruments and lights work but now won't start Any suggestions ?

How hot and did you add coolant when it was hot? Adding 80 degree coolant to a 260+ degrees engine can crack metal parts.

97 Mercury Mountaineer driver side door won't open. Outside handle flops around; inside handle won't open door

Try a slim jim first, down the side of the window. Or AAA or locksmith. If no luck, remove the seat first. Find the screws and bolts around the door handle and arm rest. Most Ford's have screws around the outer side of the panel. I don't believe your's does. The panel lifts or pops off. Once the panel is off, you can reach down and open the door. Just a note. I have done some to where the panel came out in pieces.

Windows won't roll up

If only one window it may be the motor in that window. If it is all Windows check the fuses. If still no luck see if you can roll the Windows up individually using the switch on the door under each window. If you can it is the switch on the main door that needs to be replaced. If you can not more than likely it is a relay

My 97 mountaineer fuel guage always reads full

You should try to reset the fuel gauge. If it doesn't work, then the sensor might be bad. Go to the nearest auto shop to see about getting it fixed or even replaced.
