Spray some starting fluid into the throttle body. If it starts then you have a fuel problem. If it does not, then check to see if you have spark to the plugs.

Check the wiring going to the coil. If you installed an alarm on that vehicle disconnect the main power wire to the alarm to disable the ignition kill circuit. Locate the ignition relay located on the drivers side fender wall or in the power distribution box under the hood and test it. finally, there is a fuse on the interior fuse panel that will give you this condition. I do not have the exact location so check all fuses in the panel and replace any blown fuses.

Check out ebay and see if you can get the part there. U can also check your local junkie for a good, used working part.

If, when you turn on the ignition, you do not see the check engine light come on in the dash then your ecu is in need of repair. The ecu has to energize the relays that send power to the fuel pump and injectors. Until that check engine light comes on, no power will be sent to the relays, thus no start. There are a lot of posts on this site about this, called the delayed start check engine light problem.

hi see if there is a switch behind the brake peddle,undo one of the connectors,then switch ignition on and see if the brake lights have gone out,if so replace falty switch.good luck hope this was some help,PH.

what year chevy, carb or EFI?

2 reason, the pump handle at the station is bad. (move to different island or pump) or your car. so if all stations are bad then it is your car ! (why not say so) Car: (all) so what is bad,, well that is EVAP system failure. vent hose pinched or blocked at filler neck see that side hose on filler pipe? and on newer cars. there is and electric valve that opens key off. 91 wrangler is old car. no valve. its a hose problem. rare to have this hose block, very rare, unless collision damage kicked it. but it is an old car, maybe the ethanol is killing the insides of it. E10 fuel here, in USA,

There should be a sticker in the engine compartment that shows the routing and you should be able to hold the tensioner back with a 3/8's ratchet with a long handle.

where is it, on a 2.5L I4 jeep. 1991. ok. first ever post with engine size. bravo that. amazing.... the FSM covers this. factory service manual;,. ok, i see you are reading books or web sites that have generic tuneup information, not relate to real jeeps, yes? or bob with a toyota told me to change it out? yes? Guess what?, there IS NONE. it only has and ORIFICE. and sure it can clog, and does, in fact i drove for 500,000 miles in 3 jeeps. and cleaned it vast times. on one car , the grommet got old and it the orifice collapsed. and i had to buy a new one from jeep. see word FIXED below.? when it clogges, the engine leaks oil and the oil pukes (backups) and dumps oil on the air cleaner. there is no PCV valve, on this engine. but that dont mean its service free.

It is in the main fuse panel ?? are you sure it is a fuse problem not the reverse switch itself ? or one of the bulbs out ?

really depending on how far you want to go as you will need a vrs kit that will be over a hundred and then it all depends on damage done , to hard to be accurate with out the head being removed, crack tested valve seats coupled , surface grind. bit of specialist machineing involved . and other things cropped up like valve stem wear etc . hope that gives you a bit more of a idea

1. compression test. 2 pressure test using a fitting in plug hole with air compressor attachment welded to it. check that the valves that you are checking on each cylinder are in the fully closed position listen for air escaping into the exhaust manifold then do the same for the inlet side hope this is of some help

Might be the coolant temperature sensor not sending it in to phase lock.
