1990 jeep wrangler, have had master cylinder and
If the master cylinder and the slave cylinder were replaced, was it because there was leakage there?
Also, are the hoses perfect, or when you press on the pedal is there a visible bulge (may need a friend to look at it or press the pedal for you)?
If the problem is not in the hoses, slave, or master cylinder for the clutch pedal, then it's within the manual transmission. A rebuild of the mechanical clutch parts past the slave cylinder may be required to rectify this situation.

BLEEDING THE SYSTEM
1987-93 Models
- Fill the reservoir with clean brake fluid.
- Raise and support the vehicle on jackstands.
- Attach one end of a rubber hose to the concentric bearing bleeder screw and place the other end in a jar, filled halfway with clean brake fluid. Make sure that the hose will stay submerged.
- Loosen the bleeder screw.
- Have an assistant press and hold the clutch pedal to the floor. Tighten the bleeder screw with the pedal at the floor. Bubbles will have appeared in the jar when the pedal was depressed.
- Have your assistant release the pedal, then perform the sequence again, until bubbles no longer appear in the jar.
- Lower the vehicle and test the clutch.
1994-95 Models
The clutch master cylinder, slave cylinder and connecting line are sealed units and are prefilled with fluid at the factory.

When I turn my key
when running does the guage on dash read at least 14 volts. it could be a bad battery. when engine is off, there should be at least 12.8 to13 volts at battery. when engine running there should be at least 14 volts at battery. with everything off. if 14 volts is not getting to battery then it may be a bad alternator not charging battery properly. have a good day !! if it is getting proper voltage, then battery is at fault.

Why does my jeep backfire and shut off when i
Worn spark plugs and /or spark plug wires are the most common cause. Not sure what maintenance was performed, but with the info provided, this would be the first place I would suspect.

My jeep is overheating on
Sounds like you have a heat transfer problem. First, on a 91, it's likely that the inside of your radiator is partially obstructed with calcium, rust or both. I know that you flushed it but often the flush will go around the obstruction and will only clean the parts that are already flowing (does little good). Rust does not dissolve easily using over the counter flushes and flushing in the vehicle often leaves debris in the tank which will get right back into the core as soon as you start the engine up again. sometimes it can be commercially cleaned, other times you need to just replace it. Air flow can also be impaired...check that the a/c condenser and the face of the radiator between it and the condenser are clean and not packed with bugs, leaves or other debris.

My 1991 wrangler started overheating
You might check the fan,if it has a thermostatic clutch on it.
It should spin up with the same speed as the engine. And free wheel when the engine is first started. If it looks lazy, and just barely turning, in the heat of being stoped in traffic it may be whats causing the overheating.

Front parking light is out
There are two phillips screws holding in the bezel. Remove them and pull out the assembly with the wires attached. Twist (or sometimes pull) out the bulb socket from the bezel. Now push down on the bulb and untwist at the same time. Take the bulb to the parts store to match up with a new one, and reverse the process.

We have a 1991 jeep wrangler 4.0 and we changed
My 1991 Wrangler would alternate between no spark and no fuel. After replacing the crank sensor, the coil, and the fuel pump twice I started chasing wires looking for a bad ground. There is a black with a yellow stripe wire that comes out of the rear body harness between the front e brake mount and the front door post(very hard to get at)right above the bottom dash edge that should be securely grounded to the front e brake mount. As soon as I secured that ground everything worked properly again.

Belt diagram for a 91 wrangler 2.5
Hi. look carefully under the hood as there is usually a sticker showing this. Also, look in the owner manual. If all else fails go to any NAPA store and ask them for a copy of the diagram from their database. J.

Slave cylinder leaks
Remove the bolts holding the slave cylinder to the transmission. Disconnect the hydraulic hose. Reconnect hydraulic hose to new slave cylinder, and install the slave cylinder in it's original position.
Now proceed to bleed the line through the slave cylinder until a solid stream of fluid comes through, and the pedal pressure becomes firm.

No interior lights on instrument panel
Mine was recently doing the same thing. In order to get it to work with the way it was wired, we had to change one of the glass tube fuses that runs the radio. The problem was that the radio and the dash lights were wired together. So if you had the radio and the dash lights on they would both blow. Don't know if this is a common problem though.

How do you check the clutch fluid on 1991 Jeep
There should be a small master cylinder for the clutch right next to the brake master cylinder, mounted more towards the fender. Remove the top cover and look inside. Regular brake fluid is used in the clutch system. If it's low, likely you have a leak so check where the rod goes through the firewall under the dash, the line itself and the slave cylinder (some are outside the bellhousing, others are inside and fluid will leak from the bottom of it.
