I removed a spark plug wire from a 2000 4cyl Honda
You May have tugged on the the ignition coil wire that comes from the center of the distributor cap to the ignition ( where the spark comes from) Remove and replace the center wire to see if it too may be broken or worn out
Foel problem
When you smelt fuel, It was flooded. Your best bet would be to replace the spark plugs. Gas will foul them out, just like oil.

You car's computer determined that your car needs to get its regularly scheduled maintenance based on the mileage of your car. You may just need an oil change. Take a look at the oil dipsitck under the hood.

hi from uk from your symptoms of what happened re temp guage risen suddenly it would indicate the temp sender unit on the engine has blown ie is earthing to engine via its screwthreaded body this is just a matter of replacing with a new sender unit hope this helps
Rpm went down if air compressor is on
Has this problem always existed? It sounds more like normal operation and less like a problem. There should not be much of a change in r.p.m. However, Civics are very low torque vehicles. Therefore, anytime the A/C is cut on you see a slight loss in r.p.m momentarily and will absolutely see a loss in power. It is just another draw on your engines power through the belt system.
Has spark and gas but wont start
Just because you have spark, does not mean you have the correct amount. Typically that is something with the ignition system, not the fuel system if it won't start at all. I would start with the distributor.
Fan belt is squeling
First thing to check is see if the belt is slipping.. .If so is belt loose ?test by pushing down. Excess movement = loose solution = tighten. Does it slip on engine tickover ..or when engine is revved?
