If your car came with the Prestige Alarm unit, there is a possibility that the alarm box got deprogrammed or burned, and left the anti-theft activated. Use the Valet Switch to deactivate the alarm permanently, and see if the car starts. For some reason unknown to me, it takes a couple of cycles of crank/ take the ignition switch off, crank again for the Valet Switch to work. Hello Corey Wilkey, I got one thing that your OXYGEN SENSORS always get blamed for... (sorry). As a matter of FACT... your whole list is where the money gets spent first... (not so cheap: save all those good parts). Sadly (I believe) all your troubles will resolve to a BLOCKED EXHAUST... started on occasion but has popped and now might run... but definitely stops (muffler/resonator). or... Onset was pretty quick... now really does not even threaten to run anymore (catalytic convertor) If you don't mind a filthy job two people & good shop hoist... it is not a horrible job... but if you are taking to an Exhaust shop... you do not mention the type of noise rattle , squeal , rumble , grinding so any answer is a guess the only noise from a crankshaft pulley would be a squeal/scream from a failed harmonic balance rubber insert when the ac compressor is engaged the extra load on the pulley would make it slip on the rubber however as the ac compressor would not be driving long before the crank pulley came apart I suspect that the mechanic was not experienced enough to advise correctly suggest that you get a second opinion from an accredited professional ac specialist
