Hi, may I know crankshaft

you do not mention the type of noise rattle , squeal , rumble , grinding so any answer is a guess the only noise from a crankshaft pulley would be a squeal/scream from a failed harmonic balance rubber insert when the ac compressor is engaged the extra load on the pulley would make it slip on the rubber however as the ac compressor would not be driving long before the crank pulley came apart I suspect that the mechanic was not experienced enough to advise correctly suggest that you get a second opinion from an accredited professional ac specialist

My car will crank and be running fine and then it just cuts off and wont crank back until you take the key out and put it back in a few times. then it will run for a few more mins. does this have anyt

That is a key recognition problem. It happens more often with keys that have been made, but it can also happen with stock ones. It could be the key or the lock on the column, or it could even be the ECU. I have dealt with this myself, and spent a lot of money before having to take it to the dealer anyway.

1998 Honda Accord shifts slow between gears

Check the lower gear selector solenoid pair, It is easy to remove and clean. Front right passengers side of automatic tranny, 96 to 2002 Civics and Accords and CRV. Whack it on its face a few times and blow it out with a compressor. Use a pencil and a rag to keep from losing all your fluid when you take it off. Check the sound of the click with a 12 volt battery. Sometimes the solenoids get stuck if the fluid gets varnished or if it sits too long. The upper solenoid pair is not so touchy. Bottom solenoid will sometimes prevent starting out in first and will go straight to 2nd or 3rd from start. Also some creep in neutral.

98 Honda Accord LX wont start/crank....

Check the starter motor. Many times they go on there own with no sign, and having someone crank it while using something to tap it often helps it turn over.

I have a 1998 Honda Accord with a 2.3 engine.

You should look for a shorted bulb. Sometimes these will be in a sidemarker light so with the headlights on, check each light around the car. Also try the turn signals and if one is flashing "faster" than the others, make sure you replace the bulbs in that one. After you fix the electrical "short" that can be caused by a bad bulb, hopefully the dash lights will start working properly again. If not, check all your fuses.
