1993 Honda Prelude - Page 9 Questions & Answers
'93 prelude. Starts when it wants to.
i think it could be your Bendix drive. it is the part of the starter that comes out and touches your ring gear. sometimes it becomes worn out and would not catch the teeth of the ring gear right away and it would create this loud grinding noise.
on the other hand, if the Bendix drive is still ok, then there is a probability that your ring gear is the one which has a problem.
good luck,

93 prelude starting problems
I had a similar problem on my 93 Prelude. Apparently the original ignition module has a high plastic content. This doesnt do well with heat obviously. I had the ignition replaced with an aftemarket part that did not use as much plastic in its pieces and it fixed the problem.

There should be a VIN plate at the very front edge of the dashboard where the bottom of the windshield intersects on the driver's side. Look staight down through the lower edge of the windshield on the driver's side with a flashlight (in the defroster vent area) for a metal plate about 1/2" tall and 3" across with the VIN stamped or embossed into it. The number should also be found somewhere inside the driver side door, and it is also stamped somewhere on the engine block... look for a machined-flat protruding surface with number/letters stamped into it along the oil pan line.
Hope this helps and best of luck! Don't hesitate to ask for further assitance or post a comment...

I have a honda prelude
Hi
So the new fuse blows up straight away?
you cant check the wire like you are doing.
Check with multi meter for continuity. then you will find the problem.
You can put slight bigger fuse and see if that solve the problem.
Using my OBD II on 2000 honda prelude trouble
I would start with whatever is causing the misfire. That seems to be the core of your emissions codes. Putting all codes together it seems to be clogged injectors vacuum leak. Seems to be causing stalling too.
