If you have access to a multimeter start the car put the meter on range 20v dc or if it's an auto range meter just put it on DC and while the car is running put the meter at the battery pos to pos and neg to neg . it should read between 14 - 14.5 v if it's not the alternator is not charging the battery. If it reads OVER 14.5 It is cooking your battery. I have 2 Cadillacs myself and the rebuilt alternators you get are horrible i replace 2 a year cause the rebuilds are crappy. I used to rebuild them myself but the kits are no longer available.

catalytic converter can last over 100000 miles or more if engine well maintain tune up regularly and all emission control system function properly.

Have the starter tested! Check the cables to see if they are in good condition. Check the cable that goes to the starter. They all need tight connections.Don`t know the year,make and model. but older cars have a solenoid switch that is not on the starter.

If the blower is not working then you need ac blower not a resistor. If the blower will not shut off or it has just high blower speed then it is the resistor. The passenger valve/cam cover must be removed to remove the blower motor which is under the hood on the firewall, the resistor is right next to it and must easier to replace with just two screws retaining it to the plenum chamber.

to bypass the vats? use 1/2 watt metal filled resistors, they only have 2% tolerance.

the resistor is in the key, try to lock and unlock the driver door using the key and see if that helps, it is a longshot but may work, you can also try a different key.

some bulbs have three elements in them and yours may be one of those, try replacing the bulb before spending alot of money for repairs that may not be the cause

First, set everything the way that you want, then press the memory button, then press the desired user # 1 or # 2.

1. Install the thermostat.
2. Install the thermostat housing using a new gasket.
3. Install the thermostat housing bolts. Tighten the thermostat housing bolts to 89 INCH lbs. (10 N.m).
4. Connect the radiator hose.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
6. Refill the coolant.
7. Start the engine.
8. Check for leaks.

Do u put oil in it often? Have u tried the oil pump? If u r losing pressure but not oil then u just may need to get a new oil pump. Their really easy to change.

You oil light does not only show when your oil is low, it also indicates when your oil pressure is low. If the light is staying on all the time, even when at a level, higher rpm, then you most likely have a problem with your pressure and the issue needs to be checked pretty soon. If it is only doing it when your car is idling low, then you just need to take care of your electrical/gas or air intake problem first. The oil light will come on if your car is idling low, but it should go off when you get to speed. Does it go off?
