u need a 13 mm wrench to take off the piece of medal that goes over the battery there is 3 bolts , and a 5/16 box wrench to take off the 2 battery cables

just screw it back in try to hold outside ring once it starts continue to tighten

I know caddys and most Eldorado yes they do have oil in crank case

will be either a loose wire connection around the light cluster or the switck has gone , test for power to the light fitting if no power and the wiring is in good condition then i would say try a new switch

Water Pump Removal and Installation All Engines To Remove:

1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Cautions and Warnings in the beginning of this section.
2. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Coolant into a suitable container
   • Upper filler panel
   • Air cleaner assembly
   • Secondary AIR injection control valve
     
     
   • Oil level indicator tube nut
   • Water pump belt shield fasteners
   • Water pump belt shield
     
     
   • Water pump drive belt (D)
     
     
   • Radiator outlet hose from the thermostat housing
     
     
   • Water pump cover bolts
   • Water pump cover
   • Heater return hose
   
   
   
3. Position suitable water pump puller/installer tool (or special service tool J38816-A) to the water pump locking ears.
4. Fasten the support plate to the water housing crossover to ensure proper engagement of the tool to the water pump locking ears.
5. Remove or disconnect the following:
   • Pump from the housing:
     1. Use suitable water pump puller/installer tool (or special service tool J38816-A) to turn the pump clockwise
   • Support plate from the water housing crossover
     
     
   • Water pump
   • Seal from the water crossover
6. Clean the sealing surfaces of the water housing crossover and the pump cover.
7. Clean and inspect the water pump.

To Install:

1. Install or connect the following:
   • Seal into the recessed portion of the water crossover
   
   
   NOTE: The notched locking ear must be in the 7 o'clock position.
   
2. Index the water pumps locking ears with the tangs in the water crossover.
3. Position suitable water pump puller/installer tool (or special service tool J38816-A) to the water pump locking ears.
4. Fasten the support plate to the water housing crossover to ensure proper engagement of the tool to the water pump locking ears.
5. Turn suitable water pump puller/installer tool (or special service tool J38816-A) counterclockwise.
6. Torque the water pump
   • Torque to: 74 ft. lbs. (100 Nm)
7. Remove the support plate from the water housing crossover.
8. Install or connect the following:
   • Water pump cover to the heater return hose
   • Water pump cover to the water housing crossover
   • Water pump cover bolts
     1. Torque to 89 inch. lbs. (10 Nm)
   • Radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing
   • Water pump drive belt
9. Place the water pump belt shield in position.
10. Install or connect the following:
    • Water pump belt shield fasteners
      1. Torque to 89 inch. lbs. (10 Nm)
    • Oil level indicator tube nut
      1. Torque to 89 inch. lbs. (10 Nm)
    • Secondary AIR injection control valve
    • Air cleaner assembly
    • Upper filler panel
11. Fill the cooling system.
12. Start the engine then idle until normal operating temperature is attained.
13. Recheck coolant level and top off as needed.
14. Test drive the vehicle.

Had the same code but it turned out to be one of the coils. Cam sensor was ok

• There is a link arm connecting the two wiper, maybe the link arm is not connected to the driver side wiper.

L/F door window switch and test for power at switch plug with a 12V test light. Depending on results would determine my next move.

NO-- it cannot be by passed as it is in the program of the unit If you cannot get the code you have wasted your money in the wreckers . I would suggest that you get a unit from a radio shop and have them install it for you and then it will work properly with no car problems.
