Your Catera has a sealed for life transmission so therefore on one of these models there is no dipstick and you cannot check the fluid level yourself. The dealer can check the level but that is only necessary if you have a leak. Use a premium grade oil and a quality filter such as AC/Delco, Wix, Purolator, or Bosch. The correct weight oil is listed in your owner's manual and possibly on the oil fill cap or dipstick.

fuel pressure should be 46-59pst regardless if engine is running or off

however, seeing a difference of 10psi once you turn the key off is not uncommon

The question should be what pressure is after an hour

if you loose too much pressure then you are probably dealing with a leaking injector ir a check valve in the fuel pump

Specail tools are neede to do that job, from Cadillac, or a Saturn dealer

If you have a head gasket problem, you should see dense white smoke coming out of the exhaust pipe if you have antifreeze (ethylene glycol) in the cooling system, especially right after starting the engine.

It may have electronic power steering which has no fluid to check

how many miles are on it and what repairs have you done recently?

If your egine is full with oil and you have no oil pressure its and indication of a bad pump, or your engine is starting to fail. if your oil light is on and your full, its an indication that your sending unit is bad.

Follow the top radiator hose to the engine, that is where the thermostat should be.

This happened to me and it was simple- replace the flat round battery in the remote. They can be bought at a drug store.

generally when half the cluster fails it points a a failed instrument cluster, Not the ECU. Either way I would have it diagnosed properly before you replace anything.

maybe a wire has come loose or cut.could also be a fuse.check to see if the fuse is bad and check to see if a wire is burnt or apart.

If your cooling fluid is full and other cooling systems are in place and working - you should be fine.

The fan on your cooling system is made to continue to run once the engine is shut down if it is running a little [ or a lot] hot. So don't panic if it runs 5 minutes after you shut the car off.

It sounds like the ground from the alternator is bad. Have the connections cleaned and restore the ground. if that doesn't work have the alternator tested. Sometimes they do fail straight from the shelf. Hope this helps. Good luck.
