White smoke while idling

Is it smoke or steam thats coming out the tail pipe? Are you loosing coolant or overheating? It sounds like a classic head gasket problem to me. If it smells like gas it may be a bad FPR and what you are seeing is unburnt fuel vapour. If that is the problem, it is a cheap and simple fix.if not it might be head gasket problem only

Trouble shoot elderado starter

ok it can be a few things spark gas does the car turn over? when you turn on the key do you hear the gas pump prime? if its the starter there are a few things that you can do do you hear it click? you can try to take a screw driver and manualy start it by putting it across the main cable and the smaller one that is on the back of the starter this will let you know if the starter is bad without taking it out. now if it works that means your starter isnt getting enough power to check this take jumper cables from the batery and conect it to your starter then try your car. if this dosnt solve the problem post every thing that you hear see and what the car does.

Car won't crank after stopping for gas.Lights

In park all the way? Battery weak? The starter takes more power than anything else, so your headlights working doesn't tell you much. Your battery can be pretty weak and they will still come on. Have you tryed boosting it?

The Fuel Filter is located: Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, driver side of fuel tank, mounted on frame in fuel line.

Here is the replacement procedure. Hope this helps

WARNING Fuel supply lines on all vehicles equipped with fuel injected engines will remain pressurized for long periods after engine shutdown. The pressure must be relieved before servicing these fuel systems.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Depressurize the fuel system.
  3. Remove the filter bracket retainer.
  4. For plastic type fittings:
    1. Grasp the filter and one fuel line fitting. Twist the quick connect fitting 1 / 4 turn in each direction to loosen any dirt within the fitting. Repeat for the other fuel line fitting.
    2. Squeeze the plastic retainer release tabs and pull the connection apart. Repeat for the other fitting.

  5. For metal type fittings:
    1. Use a fuel pipe quick-connect separator J37088 or equivalent. This is available from your local parts store.
    2. Insert the tool into the female side of the connector, then push inward to release locking tabs. Pull the connection apart.

Eldorado stalling problems

Sounds like either a MAP sensor or TPS or both. TPS will impact the throttle control and if its stalling once its warm, this would be where I'd look. Best of luck.
