It depends if your car came with the NorthStar engine. If so, the engine, transmission, axles, lower frame, and pretty much everything else under the hood all comes out from the bottom as a assembly. And I promise you this is not a easy job. Not even for a experienced technician. But after you get everything out of the car. You can separate the engine from transmission fairly easy. It's just getting it out is the problem. Hope this helps.

1 Lift up your car's hood and locate the heater core. If you are not sure where the core is located, an auto parts store employee or a repair manual can help. 2 Remove the screws or bolts that hold the heater core in place. You may need to remove other parts of the car before being able to access the heater core. 3 Disconnect the intake and outtake hoses from the heater core. You may need a special tool to remove the couplings that connect the hoses to the heater core; refer to your car model's repair manual. 4 Remove the heater core. Be careful not to tip the core over, as coolant will leak out. 5 Reconnect the upstream and downstream hoses on the new heater core in the same matter that they were attached to the faulty core. Leaks can occur if the hoses are not connected properly. 6 Screw or bolt new heater core in place. Finally, replace all of the removed car parts.

Has it been on since you've owned the vehicle? Or is this something new? If it has been on since you've owned the vehicle, my guess is that the antitheft security system has somehow been bypassed in a cheap or makeshift way. This may be fine for a while, but it is hard to tell because i am not familiar with a bypass method that leaves the light on. If this is something that just started recently, i'd say that the TDM (Theft Deterrent Module) is begining to fail. Your car has a "starter immobilizer". This means that when that light is on, it will run just fine, but if the car were to be in the off position, it most likely won't start back up as long long as that light is on. If you notice the security light coming on and then off ten minutes later while driving, then id say your system is failing. It turned on because there is something failing in your antitheft security system. If you would have stopped the car and tried to restart it, it would NOT have cranked over due to a starter immobilizer.
