Where is the fuel filter located on a 1993 Cadillac Deville? Can I do this myself? What is involved? Someone told me I had to pull the gas tank, is this true?
hello. it should be located under your car on a line that's coming off your fuel tank and yes you can do this your self very easy to do ,you'll need a few box/open ended wrenches that's it you'll need to check the fitting or the nut on each side of the filter to see what the sizes are, befor removing the filter you'll want to take off your gas cap and remove your neg battery cable ,not when you find the filter it'll have nut on each side all you have to do it loosen them but make sure that you don't break the fuel line or kink it and after you have both sides loose then just finish turning them off and there you go the filter is off, nope no removing the gas tank some newer models you do and the filter is attached to your fuel pump and don't need replaced but for your car and year you wont need to remove the tank. good luck

93 cadillac fuse panel location?
There are three fuse blocks in most late model Cadillacs. The engine
compartment fuse block, the MaxiFuse relay center and the rear
compartment fuse block.
1991-93 Deville, are equipped with a fuse block located in the rear of the engine compartment. There is also a fuse/relay block, located in the glove box behind an access panel, or on the passenger side, under the dash.

can't locate actual flasher unit for turn signals.
On the 1993 Sedan de Ville, The hazard flasher is easy to locate, under the dash between the steering column and the radio. Looking up, you will see the smooth round side of the flasher and the wires will be attached to the top.
The turn signal flasher is more difficult to get to, but readily accessed with a T-15 torx driver and a little patience. It is located to the left of the steering column, but is most easily accessed through the dash panel instead of from underneath.
1. remove the T-15 screw from above the headlight switch, above the fuel data center, and above the small panel similar to the one around headlight switch. All of these are somewhat hidden, and you'll need to feel for them or get low and look up at them.
2. Using a bent piece of wire or an allen wrench, or anything else handy, pull off the small trim piece that is directly below the steering column. On my car, this is wood-grained plastic. This will expose two more screws that need to be removed.
3. Now, you should be able to remove the large dash trim panel that goes around the fuel data center.
4. Unscrew the two T-15 screws that hold the fuel data center into the dash, and it should pull straight forward. There should be plenty of wire to move it out of the way.
5. The turn signal flasher is the silver can that you see to the right in the opening you just created by removing the fuel data center module. It has a single plug with two conductors on the back. I had to use a small screwdriver to pry it off.
It is a different part number, so I don't know if you can just swap it for the hazard flasher to test it like you can on many cars. I just replaced mine with a Wagner 323, which is what came out of mine.

need trouble codes for 1993 Cadillac F31 F47
Reading Codes
OBD-I Systems
Fig. 1: Diagnostic trouble codes — 4.5L engine
Fig. 2: Diagnostic trouble codes — 4.9L engine
Fig. 3: Diagnostic trouble codes — 4.6L engine
Listings of the trouble codes for the various engine control systems covered in this manual are located in this section. Remember that a code only points to the faulty circuit NOT necessarily to a faulty component. Loose, damaged or corroded connections may contribute to a fault code on a circuit when the sensor or component is operating properly. Be sure that the components are faulty before replacing them, especially the expensive ones.
The Assembly Line Diagnostic Link (ALDL) connector or Data Link Connector (DLC) may be located under the dash and sometimes covered with a plastic cover labeled DIAGNOSTIC CONNECTOR.

recently my car has started to stall when i slow down to turn or when stopping at light, i put it in park and it will start again, and seems to drive fine but will stall again when turning or stopping?
when your car stalls by turning left or right, usually a loose or a glazed belt is suspected. reason being is that the pump is being put under a load by the power steering piston. making belt slip because it needs more torque to spin pulley. also draws more current, so check idle speed and spark plugs.

code f48 on cadillac sedan deville
F48= "Very Low A/C Refrigerant Pressure Condition" In short your AC has a leak and is low on charge. This is an R12 type refrigerant system most likely so if you haven't converted it to R134 you may have to do that.

starts ok cold idles fine. Put it in drive and it hesitates and wont come out of it. changed the egr valve no difference. when the engine is hot it starts hard. I bought it two days ago ran fine all they way home. Until thursday, it started this problem. Codes flash 23, and then 26, and then like 34. but not till about 60 sec in. i imagine its due to the battery draining. do you think it could be the map sensor?
Well code 23 is a faulty signal from the manifold air temp sensor. The sensor is telling the computer the air temp in the intake is out of range compared to the other readings.
Code 26 is a quad driver problem inside the computer.
Code 34 is a MAP sensor signal saying the vacuum is high when it should be low compared to the other sensors.
They may be connected or separate issues. You could check the MAP with a vac gauge.
I would clear the codes and see which ones come back again.

with these lights out you can"t tell how much fuel you have and you can"t control the AC ,i can hear the compressor cycling but no blower ,i replaced the blower control module ,and the B.C.M. but it did not fix my problems...
Fuses 6-7-8-9 are powered from the ignition key switch.
Fuse 4 is powered from the RAP relay number 2 in the relay box.
RAP is for retained accessory power - its the relay that keeps power going to the radio and things after you turn the key off and before you open the door.
