How do i get the front seat out of my 93 cadillac deville

there are 4 bolts that hold the seat to the floor.remove the bolts first as you will have to move the power seat to get to some of the bolts.then look for and disconnect all the electrical connectors that go from the floor to the seat.then remove the seat from the car.you may have to turn the seat or get it into a position to remove it from the car for clearance.

Average feul mileage is only 9.4 mpg./why?

Could be a combo of components that are causing your poor fuel mileage. Dirty air filter is the 1st thing to check - after that.1) Oxygen sensor2) Knock sensor3) EGR valve 4) Spark Plugs/ Wires/ Ignition components5) Restricted Exhaust

1993 cadillac. I'm having trouble with the charge light coming on, only at night causing the headlights to go off and on. been pulled over 3 times now. The battery is new, had alternator tested and te

Could one WHAT be overcharging the other WHAT???To understand the problem you must first understand that the car runs off of the BATTERY. The job of the alternator is to replace the power that the car uses back to the battery. The car DOES NOT operate off of the alternator (many people do not get this). The charge light comes on when the charging voltage from the alternator is lower than the voltage that is available at the battery posts (that is why the charge light is ALWAYS on when the ignition switch is on but the engine is not running. If the CHARGING SYSTEM had been PROPERLY tested, you would have seen this in the tests. If you removed your alternator to have it tested, this does not test the charging system in the car. This can be caused by a failure or high resistance in ANY PART of the charging system. This includes not only the battery and the alternator, but also all of the connecting cables, wires and the ignition switch. If the battery and alternator are both good, then the problem is most likely a loose or badly corroded battery cable. However, high resistance in the ignition switch circuit to the alternator can also cause this type of problem. The charging system in your car needs to be PROPERLY tested to pinpoint the location of the fault.

Can hydraulic oil be substituted for power steering fluid?

Probably not. There is enough trouble with foaming and cavitation in the power steering pumps when the CORRECT fluid is used. Why would you even ask? Power steering fluid is NOT that expensive - go buy some.

I have a 93 cadillac deville and I get a cod E.52,

  • 52: Backup fuel cal-pack missing
  • There is a device that's called a CalPac. This allows fuel delivery if the other parts of the ECM are damaged. There is an access panel in the ECM door. Your CAL PAC needs replaced. This item has all the calibrations to regulate the fuel in the car.

  • When installed you may need to have your ECM programmed.

After a major transmission problem

Some reasons for a front end vibration could be an out of balance wheel, loose or worn wheel bearings, worn tie rod ends, worn ball joints, centre wear on steering rack, bad tires with split belts or blisters, warped brake rotors.
--------
Going by the age of your car I'd start with a tire roation and see what happens, next I'd go to the brake rotors.

Remove wheels, caliper brackets, and rotors. And inspect if there is gunk collected there.----- If yes then get it cleaned and realigned .------
1. Be sure that wheels are correctly balanced, and not bent or damaged.
--------
2. Be sure that all steering and suspension components are in good order.
--------
3. Proceed to clean and smooth all hub/rotor/wheel mating surfaces, and install lug nuts in proper sequence and torque.-------
The tires wearing unevenly in the front.----Check the driveshaft running to the rear of the vehicle, notorious for U-joint failure and will vibrate the vehicle front and rear, depending on which joint goes first.------- The warped rotor along with sticking caliper slides.-------- Getting this possibilities checked will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Brake fluid is leaking from

i think what your referring to is a proportioning valve that regulates the pressure to the brake that the line goes to,this helps regulate brake pressure to all the wheels so they are the same during braking so there is no wheel lock up while the other wheels don`t lock up.this is a common place for the fluid to leak out when the car gets old enough due to environmental conditions such as winter driving, corrosion, wet weather (lots of rain),salt conditions(living near salt water),it will have to be replaced and the brake lines should be checked for condition as they may need replacing as well.
