Taken from answers .com There are several fuse boxes on the Cadillac Allante. I know that, in
particular, the 1993 Allante has a fuse box in the trunk, right next to
the battery, underneath the ashtray assembly, and then one more in the
engine compartment. For the one in the trunk-- lift the trunk. Facing
the rear of the car, looking at the back window, move over to the right
rear wall of the trunk and flip up the panel there. It is a carpeted
panel that is not obvious. Shake that panel a bit and you will see that
you can flip it up. I believe it has some Velcro tabs that keep it down.
There is a fuse box sitting there inside the shell of the body once you
open that flap. You won't miss it. For the one by the battery, which is
located within a shelf behind the passenger seat---slide the carpeted
shelfing facade towards the passenger's seat.
Where is the battery on
It is located right behind the passenger seat. Look on the side panel and you will see a key hole. Use your ignition key to open it and pull the carpeted panel out. There you will find the battery.

Can't seem to locate the starter on a 1993
Hello: Raise the car on the drivers side, go under the car toward the driver side from the front. The starter is on the lower side of the engine toward the front of the car. It is held to the engine with two 15mm bolts and a bracket in the front. It has a purple wire and a red cable attached to the starter solenoid.

Sun visors
I just fixed this same problem on my 1993 Toyota Camry.
First, I tried velcro, but in the hot weather the glue wouldn't hold to the fabric so the fix only lasted about 6 months.
Just now I gerryrigged a black office paper clip - the big kind with the black clip attached to two big silver metal hands - to the visor and metal arm.
Magic, it's fixed, and for free.
Heater core
Ok to replace the heater core in the allante you must first take the door off the glove box by removing 4 screws in the corners by the hinges. Remove the valence below the dash on the passenger side.
Now follow these steps
1. remove the radio module disconnect all wires and set it aside
2. Remove the bracket that holds the engine control module slide it out and away
3. Remove the duct control unit slide it down and out from under the dash
4 remove the screws that hold the duct work together, rotate to right and then down from under the dash
5. After the prior the heater core is in view. it has two 8 mm screws holding it in place remove them
6. Now go under the hood with a long extension loosen the clamps on the heater core
7. with at least a 12 inch thin bent flat screwdriver at a 90 degree angle loosen the hose and wiggle it off the heater core nipples
8. Go back into the cockpit and remove the heater core by sliding rearward and to the right
9. Angle hater core down and slide out.
10. reverse to reassemble.

Where is the ecu for the 1987 allante?
It is behind the right side of the instrument panel. With that said, it deserves mention that your 1987 Cadillac Allante is capable of self-diagnostics and system status/fault code display through the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) and the Climate Control Driver Information Center (CCDIC) panel display. It is like a professional scan tool built right into the car.For information on how to use this feature and complete diagnostic instructions, I recommend that you subscribe to
alldatadiy.com. The pricing is
extremely reasonable, and all the technical/repair information you will ever need for your Cadillac can be found there. (It is the same information that I would use if you brought your vehicle to me for repair.)
