I have changed the fuel pump, fuel tank, spark

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

It can really be the valves. If the valves are worn out the oil tends to be burnt. Replacing the valves by yourself is really impossible for it will use machines to replace the valve guides aswell. I don't see any more problem aside from the valves. Once replaced I believe you'll be good.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

I agree that fuel filter is replaced, Also whats the fuel pressure.Get the fuel pressure checked, if the fuel pressure is low, then car will definitely surge, stall and show this types of starting problems. So first thing get the fuel, pressure checked. If its low, then fuel pump is the cause, it has to be replaced,------

If the fuel pressure is checked ok, then other possibility is faulty o2 sensor and crank sensor. The o2 sensors are before and after catalytic converter.-------Both the sensors are to be replaced.------ And as per you mentioned your problem, its quite possible that faulty o2 sensor will cause this problem.------ O2 sensor is the part which sends signal to ECM( the cars computer). It sends signal to computer about fuel / air mixture. How and when to send fuel to engine.--------- If o2 sends stops sending signal to cars computer then it will not send the fuel to engine.------- In your case the o2 sensor is getting overheated and this is stopping the o2 sensor from sending signal to ECM.But when your car shuts off the sensor gets cool and again it starts working.------ So as per problem, get both the o2 sensors checked and replaced.---------- Also get the crank sensor checked.------------- For stalling problem get the fuel filter cleaned, get the throttle body and IAC valve cleaned.------ The idle air control valve is also located at throttle body.Clean both throttle body and IAC valve with throttle cleaner.--------Also re check the condition of serpentine belt.------This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

89 cadi eldorado. passenger

Your problem is most likely the rubber flex hose going to the caliper. When they get old, the inner hose will soften and collapse effectively creating a check valve. When you press the brake pedal, the high pressure from the master cylinder will allow the brake fluid to travel to the caliper but when the pedal is released, the pressure from the caliper isn't enough to get past the collapse and your brake will be pressurized as if you are pressing the pedal. A quick test would be to press the brake hard and release it. Go to the wheel that has the problem and crack open the bleeder. No fluid should come out if it's normal. If fluid spurts out, change the flex hose. If one is bad, chances are the other will be not far behind so you might want to change them both.

Hello my 1991 cadillac deville won't go over

As per the problem, which you mentioned it indicates problem with fuel pump, the fuel pump is not holding the pressure. To pump gas from fuel tank to the engine there should be pressure. But if fuel pump is worn out, then this pressure will be low or in some cases there is no pressure at all.Replacing the fuel pump should help.----------- ----------------- But there few more possibilities for this problem too, other that fuel pump and fuel filter, it can be problem with sensors, the o2 sensor.Clogged catalytic converter, problem in transmission assembly.Transmission fluid very dirty or very low transmission fluid. Also get this checked and see.To check if catalytic converter is the issue, you can try this.Remove the o2 sensor , unplug the o2 sensor then rev the engine and see.If it goes up to 2000 to 3000 RPM then its catalytic converter issue. But if same problem like before is there, then get the fuel pump replaced, get the fuel pressure checked. It can be checked at any local garage. If the fuel pressure is checked fine then in that case get other possibilities related to transmission checked.----------------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I wash my engine and

You may have gotten the distributor wet, you can either wait for it to dry out or if you feel adventurous you can follow these directions...

http://www.ehow.com/how_5721767_dry-distributor-cap.html

Next time, just tarp a plastic grocery bag over the distributor while you wash the engine.

Thanks, and as always a vote/feedback is appreciated! =)

Air ride is not letting

Your air bags are whorn out, These usually last around 12-15 yr,s maybe more maybe less. to repair you have to take to a garage, And this is expencive, But there is a alternitive , You can remove the air bags and put on a set of regular shocks, This will be a lot cheeper on you. You might check around a salvage yard, but you just don't know how long they will last. Sorry can't help more, Wish you the best of luck.
