2000 honda passport, popping in
Chances are the left side CVU joint is running dry it may not be worn out yet but its life expectancy from this point on is in question, there is a boot kit you can purchase I would regrease the CVU joint on that side as a precaution and replace the rubber boot. The only other thing that may be making a popping sound would be the strut plate thrust bearing and bumper, if this is going bad and has excessive play in it a bumping or knocking sound with be heard as you go over bump traveling straight on a rough road surface. Another thing to check is does the sound occur if you turn the wheel all the way and bottom out the rack? What I mean by this is when turning the wheel do you hold the wheel with light force in the direction of steer if so it may be the rack causing this sound, avoid applying pressure to the steering wheel after it has reached the end of its travel. Rack and pinions are $400.00 and up if you don't absolutly need one you don't want to have to replace it.
Theres a rod with a clamp that goes from the tire
Though you are very vague on this, I think it's your tie rod end...Replace it! It's not difficult to do and instructions are in most inexpensive manuals. If it's not the tie rod end, change whatever it is...it can't be safe to drive that way. In either case, check everything else under there to make sure all else is in good shape!
Gas tank
just rip it off and then have a look ,does a proper mechanic have a workshop manual for every car in his head??
Transmisson is shifting hard in and out of second
I had a 2001 Chevy Blazer that would doing the same thing when the check engine light would be on. If you give it very little gas until it shifts into second, it does not shif as hard, right? Then you can accelerate as quickly as you want, but if you hammer it from a stop it jolts really hard.
Our local shop told us it was the valve body. They wanted $900 to fix it!!! They told us "Baby it all you what, but its only a matter of time. If you don't get it fixed soon, it will cause total transmission failure". We traded it in.

2000 HONDA PASSPORT CAR IS SKIPPING
DID YOU GET THIS OIL CHANGE AT A DISCOUNT SERVICE CENTER? MAYBE THE TECHNICIAN STARTED TO DRAIN THE WRONG FLUID? IT COULD BE THE REASON FOR THE SLIPPAGE OF THE TRANSMISSION. I WOULD ALMOST BET THAT YOUR TRANSMISSION FLUID IS LOW. CHECK IT WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING IF IT IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. I HOPE THIS HELPS. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. BEST OF LUCK
Cannot find spark plug terminals.
It is a coil on plug system. The Red or Red/Striped wire is the control of the primary winding from the ECM. The BLK/ORG wire is the ground side of the primary winding. The BLK/BLU wire is the secondary winding wire.
ONLY USE DENSO SPARK PLUGS IN A 2000 PASSPORT. If you use aftermarket plugs, the crankshaft sensor tends to detect it as a signal to the computer, and for some reason it resets the computer. Seen it happen more than once.
13 ft/lb torque spec by the way.
Honda Passport 2000 - none of the windows rolling
Sounds to me like you have a bad power window relay. Start by checking the power supply to the relay. Should the relay be bad replace and the window movement should be restored. If this doesn't take care of the problem you may need to replace the master switch in the driver door. The master switch allows all the other switches to do their job. If it malfunctions none of the windows will work. Hope this info helps, good luck!!!
