jump the vehicle and then disconnect the battery if it continues to run then it is the battery, if not then the alternator. An auto parts store will check the charging system free of charge and if the battery needs to be replaced they will install the new battery when purchased from them. Tim

Have your mechanic do an OBII scan (fault scan) that will identify what is ailing your rig. He'll pull the codes and they'll identify what is exactly wrong.

well the cadillac dealer is right when you pull the battery all codes are gone the best way to handle this is bring a battery down there put it and get your car out of there

Are you saying you get nothing at all no lights no nothing and the engine doesn't turn over at all? Is there clicking? Is the motor turning but it doesn't start? Give me more info and i can help.

Your PCM has found a problem in the operation of the truck. You will need to have It checked to see what code is stored in the memory of the computer. The truck is reducing power and turning all the warning lights on to let you know there is a problem that needs serious attention. It reduces power to stop from damaging the engine. Continuing to drive the truck could result is a major problem.
