where is bank 2 sensor one on a Cadillac CTS?
Posted by leojklo on
Bank 2 Sensor 1 is on the driver side - follow the right side of the engine down the headers which attaches to the catalytic converter. The o2 Sensor you're asking about (Bank 2 Sensor 1) is before the Catalytic. The o2 Sensor after the Catalytic is Bank 2 Sensor 2. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is on the passenger side as well as Bank 1 Sensor 2.

i need to know how to set the timing belt on my 2003 cadillac cts 3.2L.engine.any diagrams will help a lot thanks

Timing Belt & Sprockets
Removal & Installation
TDC compression stroke timing marks
After timing belt is removed, never turn camshaft and crankshaft independently. Do not remove J 42069-1 and the J 42069-2 or other suitable tools while the belt is removed.

2003 cadillac cts 3.2 liter..rough idle, scan tool shows misfire on bank 1, cylinders 1,3,&5. only at idle, scan tool also showed a cam postion sensor code. cam position sensor changed. no change in idle. clyinder compression test, and cylinder leakdown test performed on all cylinders in that bank. all cylinders in both tests were within specifications. spark plugs replaced on that bank. On road test vehicle has lots of power and acceleration. problem only accurs at idle. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cadillac cts reads service charging system
Posted by Marisela... on
Usually this message comes on when the vehicles electrival system is below approximately 10 volts or over 16 volts indicating a charging system malfunction. You should take the vehicle to a trusted automotive repair facility and have the alternator and battery check for proper performance.

A/C water leak, passenger side Where is the drip pan located?
Posted by cdelg57 on
I have a similar problem with a 2003 cadillac cts. The water drips from the bottom area of the glove compartment. If you would stick your hand under and feel around, there is a removable panel ( two small bolts and one star screw) there , you will fell the sponge on the other side of the panel is wet. I removed this panel and ran the air conditioner and place a large mirror on the floor and shine a flash light up but did not see any water dripping.
The Driver side has a similar panel, I removed that also but saw nothing, not even the canister. But the out side pipes from the AC show the canister leads in the hood under ther driver side.
Any way I looked under the car and found the drain hose. It is located under the driver seat area. I tried fishing a coat hanger through it and it went a long way up. If you look on the side panel where the parking brake is located you will see this hose going to the top of the hood. You will need to depress the parking brake for a better view. I tried the Ac bot no condensation water came throug.
I late found a similiar hose on the passenger side. I tried to push the wire in but did not get too far.
One of these hoses drain the Sun ( moon) roof.
I then took a cap from a silicone tune ( u know the screw on tip that you cut at 45 degrees) That I inserted into the tube under car, then I insert a small funnel into the silicone cap , next with my garden ready and flowing , I force water up through the AC drain hose. Dont do too long, 5 to 7 secs is good. You will see the water come through the other drain hose. It is best to have some onlookers. Note some water might flow up to the moon roof drain and into the car so place some towel on the seat.
That works for me.
and good luck

ok, woodhujr,if im not mistaken you had another help request of cranckcase pressure...that problem is causing your leak.
ccny, i have no idea what you are talking about, feel free to enlighten us...
Howard, the best advise i have for you in replacing the valve cover gasket(s) is to get a repair manual for this car/engine and follow the steps as outlined there. I couldnt try to give you step by step instructions in this little box without way oversimplifying.

The ABS, Traction Control and Brake Warning Lights came on in my 2003 Cadillac CTS. I took it to a mechinac who turned the rotors and replaced the pads. The lights came back on but the brakes seem perfect. The mechanic did not know how to reset these warning lights. Do the lights mean there may be another problem or do they need to be manually reset and, if so, how do I do it.

lights usaly come on when there is a system fault. check for a broken or chiped wheel speed sensor ring, or a damaged wheel speed sensor. try disconecting the negative battery terminal for a few seconds to reset lights
