Cadillac are complicated try that, if the problem still take it to a mechanic, my advise don't play with electricity in a car.

More than likely the transmission has just failed, have a local shop diagnose it.

probably needs to be reprogrammed.

sounds like it could be a burn plug wire on the number 7 plug

The carb clutch is slipping in it,

The trans axle is worn & failing

Whenever this warning light or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module (or the system sensor in the case of lights like low oil pressure, door open indicators etc.) has detected a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM, SRS, TPMS, MIL, CEL and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Try spraying some liquid graphite into the door lock and keep trying to work the key to turn.

The thermostat is in the housing that covers the water pump on the drivers side of the engine. You will need to remove the air filter housing and the box that covers the computer to get to it. Take out all the screws and lift the top cover off then pick up the computer and harness and lay it aside then you can lift the bottom of the box out of the way. Youtube has some great video for replacing the water pump which also shows the thermostat.

Sounds like an overheating problem, best to get it checked, maybe thermostat stuck closed, pluged radiator, head gasget, cracked head.
