Alarm causes not start

These early 90's vehicles had alot of problems with the antitheft systems. When they fail, they actually cut power to the starter or injectors. Look for a light on the dash that says SECURITY or ANTITHEFT. You see this light, go to this link for answers.http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

1997 eldorado continues to overheat.

Hi. i have some unfortunate news to relay. There is a very strict rule that many Cadillac owners must obey. You should never let this model run hot under any circumstances. There are three possible issues here. Due to the fact that this engine is aluminum, the heat could have blown the head gaskets or, warped the heads as well. The next issue could be the freeze plug. i would check this and replace if needed. I would make sure the oil is not milky. this can confirm the blown head gasket. The final check i would recommend would be that you make sure the mechanic installed the thermostat correctly. the spring part of this device should be inserted in the motor not the other way around. sometimes, techs get in a rush and they install the thermostat in backwards. check the areas above and you should find the problem there.

Power window goes down but wont come up sometimes without turning key off and then back on

Sounds like a stuck relay, turning the keys off kills the power going to the relay unsticking it.under your hood locate the fuse panel (or box what ever you'll like to call it). Under the cover of the fuse panel is a diagram showing you where all the relays and fuses are located. Locate the power window relay. buy a new one and replace it.

What's your problem? what fuse is for power window for 1997 cadillac el dorado

Find the fuse box either under the hood or under the dashboard and pull off the cover. The fuse locations are either on the fuse plug in area or on the cover you just removed!

Ford F 350 Skips

The following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems. Also engine mechanical problems ca cause many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other symptoms

How do I bleed cooling system on 1997 cadillac eldorado

Raise the front end off the ground with a floor jack, fill the coolant recovery tank as high as possible and then run engine until it gets up to high normal temperature on gauge, shut the engine down and run water over the radiator core, the coolant will be pulled into the engine as the core is cooled, do not let the tank run dray during this process.
