bad transmission, no miles 1992 SEville reclic. DRIVE fails does reverse? ever see is shift right before?, or last decade?most are not running now. find it in a barn dead? like all bad automatic transmissions, IS IT. the endless posted here standard list of all on car tests to find the cause here we go 100time

1. all fuses good. FUSE d1 TRANNY FUSE BLOWN? 10-AMP
2. dip stick check, levels hot engine near center of stick hot, idle in park.
3. dip stick end smells burnt or atf looks like TAR.
4. shift linkage checked and not failing and adjusted by the book.
5. main tranny test, at PUMP test ports fail> , yes bad tranny
6. 4t60e box? GM box , and uses ECM to shift. ON SOME,.
7. bad speed sensors or 2 shift solenoids
8. OR ALL THE SEALS LEAK INSIDE AND ADD UP TO PUMP-OVERLOAD-SEE WHY STEP 6 FAILS, THIS IS IT OR THE PUMP IS BAD. AND SO BE THE TRANNY

E13-Oxygen sensor voltage stays between 0.307 and 0.609 volts for 64 seconds. Engine was at normal operating temperature at a speed over 800 RPM.
E44-Right oxygen sensor was lean for more than 50 seconds when engine was warm and at 800 RPM or greater.
E52-PCM has lost primary battery power.
E58-Pass Key fuel enable was not correct.
F47-PCM has received bad data from IPC for 3 seconds while engine speed was 500 RPM or more for 3 seconds.
F48-EGR open command was given during off idle operation. EGR opening should cause the mixture to be slightly richer because of the low oxygen content of exhaust gas. Vehicle speed was over 35 MPH and engine was warm.

Probably the heater and A/C programmer (APC) - should be on the passenger end of the HVAC box under the dash.

Theres not much u can do without the wiring diagrams, tools & knowhow on an intermittent electronic problem. I suggest u "bite the bullet" get it done properly. Theres a motherboard behind the dash that u have no way of checking on your own. Good luck

People. We need to know what kind of vehicle it is. Has it got towing package, has anyone put a trailer connector on it, have any of the light housings been replaced. The more info you list the better of a chance at getting an answer you will have. I have counted 34 posts so far that did not have what kind of vehicle it is. All cars and trucks are not the same

Anon, There can be codes thrown when converter is bad and a lot of time there will be codes/not always, why I do not know. To actually determine if converter is bad, there are test/diagnostic procedures. Deo, brake light goes out when left signal is on, this is normally a sign of a bad bulb/socket/wire/ground or multi function/signal switch. You will have to have a good Tech. troubleshoot, diagnose and estimate repair if you can not. replacing the ecu on most vehicles will need coding if its qa chipped key definitely will need coding again so wont start only swing if its a open box ecu with same ecu no then it should start first time

Could be many possible issues, but begin by testing fuel pressure. If that checks out, read any codes. If none, test TPS and check for vacuum leaks.
