2002 outback subaru security light is flashing 2
I think the car may be set to valet mode. It's been a while so I don't remember exactly how to change it. If you have the key fob that is sorta square with an orange and a blue button I think you hold the blue button down for 3 seconds or until the alarm light flashes or something to that effect. Check your owners manual for the instructions or drop by a dealer and they should be able to show you how to do it.

2005 Outback Wagon Code P0420
PO420 is for catalyst system efficiency below threshold. I have seen this many times on vehicles from 96 up. It is due to the system not burning the fuel at what it considers an acceptable rate. Todays fuels are not the best we could have for internal combustion and sometimes it will set off the light. I tell my wife she is too easy on the car and it's not burning the fuel proper. After a couple days it goes out. It will not harm your engine and should go out again. Fuel system cleaning additive will also turn of light. Good luck and enjoy your Subbie. Greatest car ever Built.

Flashing relay clicking
If your parking lights are flashing also, I would have to guess that the battery has been disconnected recently. If so there is a small, 4" x4" box on drivers side under dash by colomn that has a small red button on it. Push this button for a few secounds and that should fix your problem. Hope this helps and have a good day.

Parking lughts wont go off
I had the same problem with my Outback but the solution is very simple, turn off the parking light switch located on the top of the steering column. See chapter 3 page 23 in your owners manual. This has to be the dumbest and most frustrating feature EVER!

Vdc and engine check lights both on
under dash connect together the 2 green multiplugs. The CEL light (Check Engine Light) will flash. Slow then fast. Count the slow flashes then the fast ones. I.E. code 21 will give 2 slow flashes then 1 fast = 21.
let me know the code and I will diagnose for you.

2003 subaru outback engine vibration in gear
Did you recently replace the axles on the vehicle? This problem commonly occurs in Subarus when you replace the axles with non-OEM parts. The only fix seems to be to swap out the axles for OEM parts. Search the forums at subaruoutback.org for many stories of the same condition and some theories on why non-OEM axles cause the problem.

Where is the fuel filter
It's in the engine compartment. I believe it's on the drivers side. It's about 5" in diameter sometimes black or silver and held by a band clamp. It will be easy to identify by the two hoses on the top of it you may even see the words "IN" and "OUT" stamped by the inlet and outlet. Hope this helps.

try you map sensor or your throtle pos sens. your fuel pump is designed to run all the time. it is suppose to run through the fuel rail and back to the tank in a constant cycle.
