Will the valves will connect with the piston if
I'm assuming you meant if the timing belt broke would the pistons hit your valves? 2 parts to this, #1 if your belt just broke you should be fine, #2 if your belt skipped time significantly (highly improbable) only then would your internal components have a chance of hitting each other from components trying to open and close at improper times. This could damage both intake/exhaust valves, other valve train components and even damage the head of your pistons.
Is there any difference between
i ust to be a mechanic for a subaru dealer and got that question all the time there is a little bit of a difference but not a big enough one to matter the parts your concerend about should be fine just look them over for any defects in craftsman ship before installing.

Check the tension of the belt. If you have one belt that runs everything then replace the belt tensioner. If the pump has it's own belt then you can adjust that belt tighter

these cars dont really burn oil, but can. i would have the car put up on a lift and take a good look, i know they leak at the valve covers and the head gaskets ,i've done alot of them, if you are sure it not leaking then have the pcv system checked you may want to replace the pcv valve if its been a while, this valve sucks the preasure out of the oil crankcase and burns through the motor, if this valve sticks it will allow preasure build up and force oil into the combustion chamber and cause oil useage, hope this helps.

It's the front crank seal. You have to take the timing belt out to replace the seal. The seal is mounted in the oil pump, which is bolted to the front of the engine block. Please let me know if you have questions.
Had the oil changed at walmart they put a fram
Yes it is bearings, rings, and part of the cylinder. If the oil pump went out the motor would lock up. The oil pump pumps oil throughout the motor. If the pump quits, it is just like running the engine without any oil at all. Without oil pressure then the motor would lock up because nothing in the engine would get any lubrication. Don't think it has anything to do with the oil and filter. Probably just a faulty oil pump. I have heard of Walmart not putting oil back in cars, and causing them to lock up. But if you had oil in the car, and it has metal shavings, then it is more than likely the oil pump just quit.

It is likely the switch that has failed.
You'll need to remove the switch and check that there is voltage at the "close" side of the switch when you press it.

You never replace any part, without a knowledge of what it is,how it works and how to test it.
So get access to the switch first, test, then move on to the motor.
I would get a wiring diagram, and start at the beginning of the circuit, and continue testing,as I went thru it.

the thermostat housing on this vehicle bolts onto the bottom of the block, where the lower rad hose meets the engine. have a large drain pan handy, because the entire cooling system empties out when you remove the stat. good luck!

You may need to give the MAF a small shot of carb cleaner across the inside air flow vane. The small wire like elements sometimes get dirty and cleaning them will do wonders.
Need to replace motor in
Hello.
You must remove the interior door panel in order to get to the window motor and track. Although you could simply replace the motor I recommend that you buy a replacement motor and track assembly. This is so much easier to replace and so much quicker. J.
Serpentine belt routing
Hi,
The detailed solution provided below will be of great help to you,just follow the steps carefully;
1.Raise the hood of your Subaru and support it with the prop rod. Locate the negative battery cable at the negative battery terminal. Remove the retaining bolt from the battery cable end with a wrench and separate the cable from the terminal.
2.Find the serpentine belt tensioner on the front of the engine and place a socket on the apex bolt in the center of the idler pulley. Attach a breaker bar to the socket and rotate the tensioner clockwise until the belt is loose, then remove it from the pulleys. Rotate the tensioner back to the home position and let it sit there for now.
3.Install the new serpentine belt over all the pulleys except the tensioner pulley. It is important that the belt follow the correct path over the pulleys. If you are unsure of the path, look for the sticker under the hood with the belt-path diagram on it.
4.Rotate the tensioner clockwise far enough to install the belt around the pulley on the tensioner, then slowly rotate the tensioner back to the home position. The tensioner will tighten the belt correctly and no adjustment is required.
5.Install the negative battery cable back on the negative battery terminal and install the retaining bolt. Tighten the bolt with a wrench, then close the hood.
Problem solved,
Good luck!!
