Where is the heater blower resistor located in a

the blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. The blower motor resistor is located behind the glove box assembly. You will need to remove the glove box assembly and then you will see the resistor. It will have one connector with four or five wires and will be held to the HVAC unit with 2 screws. How do I lift the back seat up on my 2000 outback?

Hello,

This is the solution you desire:
1.If you look closely between the seats, there is a small loop strap made of material similar to the seat belts.
2.Pulling it releases the latch that holds the seat down. It is possible to close the seat down onto the strap, thus hiding it and leaving no apparent way to get the seat up.
You will need to grope around and find it. It may help to use a tool like some sort of hook. It is in the center of the rear edge of the seat, but it may have been folded off to either side.

Have a nice day and thank you for using fixya.

I have 2000 Outback Idols

did you do the basics? replace plugs, test fuel injector output? tune up? most of the time when we see miss fire codes a basic tune up takes care of the problem. check these items and check the compression and get back with me and we will see if we can get to the bottom of this problem.

I had a windshield replacement done and it appears

Hi, welcome to FixYa! My name is Shaun. My suggestion to you would be to return the car the the shop who did the work and point out your dissatisfaction. If the gaps are as large as you describe, the glass and trim probably weren't set correctly, and water could easily seep under these gaps and freeze causing the gaps to grow larger and ultimately cause leaks around the windshield, not to mention the possibilty of standing water causing the sheet metal to rust from the edges. Hope this helps. Have a good day!

2000 Outback 5MT. Oil in plug well. Also loss of

You have a couple of issues. Oil in plug well is usually a valve cover leak. The power loss - you're going to have a competent shop/tech actually visually inspect, there's too many possibilities for me to suggest without actually seeing it and I don't want you chasing "ghosts"

Heat is good on acceleration but cold at idle

Check your coolant level, if ok, replace the thermostat. If you have been losing coolant for some time, and you are not leaving it on the ground, have a reputable garage check for an internal coolant leak using a block tester.
