The co level is to high
High CO results from a vehicle running 'naturally' rich - ie a rich condition that is not being forced from the computer.
The basic, most probable causes of a high CO count could be one of the following;
High fuel pressure (constricted filter, pinched line, etc)
Ruptured pressure regulator diaphragm
Malfunctioning Evaporative Emissions System
Crankcase fuel contamination (head gaskets, injector/regulator leak)
Closed loop incorrectly shifted to rich (o2 sensor, map/maf sensor, coolant temp sensor, Throttle position sensor, etc, etc)

These problems are all because you have vacuum leaks in your transmission (probably). You are, unfortunately, going to have to take it in and have it serviced. I highly recommend using a transmission specialist and not a general mechanic. Also, there is NOTHING that comes in a bottle that will fix ANY engine or transmission issues. They're just taking advantage of people who aren't mechanically inclined and are willing to try anything. These products only add foreign material to your system and help gunk up the works. Don't use additives of any kind. Not stopleak, not octane booster, not water remover, not oil boosters. None of it.
I was just wundering could i fit a 2ltr turbo exhaust
you may be able to from the converter back, maybe???? if the turbo pipe is the same diameter and the flange size. Of course, a muffler shop could make any modifications to make it fit. one thing you want to keep is that it all bolts together where it does now, So you can unbolt it for service.........Dont let them weld everything together.
'99 isuzu Impreza Outback Sport;
hi, as you have tested all those and found no problems then have you thought about buying a fuel cleaning additive, these can be brought from most petrol stations, the best one is called red x.
Make sure you buy correct type ie petrol and not diesel then followthe instructions on the back of bottle, after putting it into the tank you need to give the car a good run for at least 30min upto about an hour, after this time you should notice some improvement.
Alsl was you told when you brought this car that you must only use the high octane petrol at filling stations as the cheaper unleaded petrol can cause the problems you are having, if you search the net for the correct fuel type you will find sites that will tell you.
Failing that the only other problem you could have could be with the injectors if you have had some bad fuel that has had some muck in it then that could have made its way into the injectors causing the problem your having.
let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Subaru transmission filters are supposed to be good for the life of the transmission. Which is odd considering how easy they make it to change.
What do you mean when you say you can't get the fluid back in? The dipstick tube is pretty small but with the right funnel it's definitely doable.
Engine problem when starting
Anytime a check engine light is on you have a problem. If you take to a repair shop or to a parts store they can pull the codes from the computer. Until you get the codes you are just throwing things in the dark and really will be difficult to diagnose. The parts store will not charge anything but repair shops will. Get the codes and repost. I can help you then.
Automatic transmission has recently started
Might help to change fluid and filter. The fluid may have buildup in valve body which is causing the hard shifting. That is the best place to start. Good luck and have a great day.
Where are the fuse boxes located in a 1999 subaru
The fuse is down on the right side of the steering wheel. It is below the plastic dash. Its a small box hidden away to the right. Small plastic square lid. Easiest to find if u scoot the seat right back and have a good look above the accelerator to the right!

If you have any of the large chain auto parts stores in your area, call them and ask if they do free scans; most do.
If Subaru has maintained the same procedures for a while, and you have checked fluids, etc., you can try resetting the light via the ignition switch:
-Turn on the ignition (don't start)
- switch it rapidly between the 'ignition on' and 'ignition off' positions three times.
If the error has cleared itself (not uncommon), the check light will reset. If the problem is still present, it will either stay or come back on.
Our Su has done this a couple of times and with the scanner we have on hand, there was never any particular repeated problem.
Just a computer glitch/hiccough -
