The symptom you describe, assuming there are no external coolant leaks, indicate a high possibility of a failing cylinder head gasket. I suggest you ask your local repairer to carry out a block test that uses a chemical that changes colour when it comes into contact with combustion gas.

At a guess I would suspect worn wheel bearings, coupled with worn out rotors and stuck caliper slide pins. Time for a full brake job, esspecially on the front.

Start by checking fuses. Next use test gauges to insure freon level is correct.

You will need to make a tool. On the pulley there's two 10mm holes. Get a piece of 1"x1/8" wall square tube (about 3' should do.). At one end, drill two holes offset to one edge for some 10mm bolts that will fit in the holes on the pulley. The offset is so you can get a socket on the main crank nut. Fit the square bar so one end rests on the subframe. Now you can fit a big bar on the pully nut and undo it.

ok this is not as simple as it looks. there is a keyway that aligns the crank pulley. If you have a 3 jaw puller it can be used to remove the pulley. I remove the bolt then use a spare old one to protect the threads and the end of the crank from damage. if your problem is removal of the bolt then you can get a pulley holding tool like this pic shows http://espimages.biz/2386/I/859/4/VS12471.jpg

i bet it does shift in to gear, if you start engine in 1st or REV.gear.right. if you start engine in gear, with clutch depressed, and the car moves that means clutch failure. it can be a bad clutch linkage, easy fix. there are 2 systems. (3 on relics) cable and a hydraulic acuator. i can never tell what others can do, some cant tie shoe laces others fly to moon.. im laces. im too lazy no wto look up the linkage on yours. why not just look. see clutch master cylinder above pedal on fire wall? that is hyd. if missing and is cable ? bingo cable system. cable play never set ever? do so now, called free play. if cable end moves 1inch its good. if the slave cylinder dont move it or or the MC is bad. replace both, both are easy fixed, ask. .

Take it to a local auto shop and have the codes read this will more than likely give you the answer to the problem. It is generally free to have this done as it only takes a minute.

some are under the drivers dash..others are under the hood on the drivers side..parts store will know for your make and model..

hi, could be a faulty combination switch or a joint in the wiring harness creating a short circuit. Take it to an auto electrician. I believe you will find a solution. regards ngosa

Check your thermostat and if it turbo I advice to remove and clean out your redaitor and every thing will bo cool

they might be right when you add them some might be spilling

the codes need to be erased from the computer's memory, the air bag system is separate from the engine electronics.

this is usually a built in service reminder and its telling you to get a service if you have done your own service or got a mate to do it you need a code or sequence to follow to remove the warning this will be easy to find out for your model but you will need to contact a dealer or a major service center

it sounds like a problem with your computer and will need to be hooked up to a computer with diagnostics info for wrx

you have to disconnect all of the clamps and take it piece by piece to get it set correctly

It will have either a 2.2L or a 2.5L. If the spark plug wire boots that connect to the spark plug are easy to get to, that would be a 2.2L.
