I had an SVX, and loved it! Had to replace the power steering pump too, but I found that until I did a really thorough flush that it still didn't work right. Jack the front wheels off the ground. Have a helper get in the car to start it and turn the wheel back and forth. Before starting it, disconnect the low-pressure return hose from the pump and put the end of it into a bucket. Be ready with a couple of quarts of ATF fluid (you don't need to use power steering fluid.) Start the car and pour fresh fluid into the pump while the steering wheel is being turned all of the way back and forth a couple of times. Don't let the fluid level get down to where it pumps any air! Shut it off just before you finish pouring in the second quart of ATF. Reconnect the low pressure hose, run it again and adjust the fluid level. This worked for me - the steering operated like new. Good luck.

its your harmonic balancer pulley going bad. this pulley is made in 2 parts and a rubber seal. the rubber part goes bad and thus causing the pulley to slip. which in turn doesnt turn you pwer steering and alternator. with having no alternator working your dash lights up. not buy a new pulley from subaru. there 200.00, can go bad any time, weighs about 10lbs. get one from ebay. theres lots of seller that are selling it from 40 to 100.00, and only weigh about 1lb.

yes, it should be on the drivers side. it usually sticks right out so you can see it.

Remove the kick panel just beside the left foot rest on the driver's side.
2) Locate blue wires.
3) Locate black connector. Hold it notch up.
4) With ignition off, insert one of the wires into top row, 2nd pin from left.
5) Turn key to on position, but do not start the car.
6) Watch blinky check engine light on dashboard. Count blinks. Long blinks = 10, Short blinks = 1.
7) Keep watching blinky light until you get mesmorized.

To clear codes (after problem has been resolved): 1) With engine off, stick the blue wires to 1st and 2nd pin in the top row counting from left on the

black connector, with notch facing up. 2) Start car. Shut off car. Remove pins. 3) Read codes to make sure they are clear. No codes = steady blinks at 1/4 second intervals. yhis is for the 94, 92 should be the same. have a good day !!

If it's just one window, most likely the switch contacts are dirty.

Check all the hose connections. Many times the o-ring under the resevior goes bad and leaks.
