If you are referring to the large wire about 1.5" long. Your answer is yes. It is the main Fusible link wire that protects your system. Just replace with a new fusible link wire and it should supply the needed current to complete the circuit to start vehicle. Hope this helps and have a great day.

dear friend-it is not to say that your problem is a big one, what you can do is to disconnect the battery for
a short while and then reconnect,if the lite stays away it"s not a problem,if it"s back hook up to a scanner for the fault code.

I need to install a clutch for a 1992 subru

If you really want to do this yourself , I would suggest that you purchase a chilton manual for your make and model of vehicle. There are alot of things to explain that makes it hard in this type of forum. A chilton manual will show you step by step instructions and the safety precautions you will need to take. It is a pretty easy job if your expirenced at all. you may also want to try the website www.autozone.com , they often have this type of info. I hope this helps

Will 205/75r14 tires fit on a 1992 subaru legacy?

Yes they should, you'll just have a slightly taller side wall. But if you want to be sure, just call a local tire store and they should be able to tell as well.

Doors seif locking all the time

Get to the bottom of this, the next step is a circuit hot when you do not want it.

Most of these issues happen in the door jamb. Are all of the switches looking non damaged? disconnect the switches one by one to eliminate them.

Move the bundle in the door jamb and see if you can affect the issue. There are no successul repairs in this area, replace at least the entire run throught the jamb, but ideally the whole loom that you have to get to replace the jamb portion.

Subaru Liberty Auto Sedan 96

Just answered the exact same problem/make/model. This sounds like an AWD problem. When you turn the wheels sharply, the tires rotate at different speed, the tires on the inside of the turn rotate fewer times than the tires on the outside of the turn. Subaru systems adjust for this difference in rotation to make the turn and operation of the system smooth. The problem is, your system isn't 'adjusting' for the tight turns, the wheels are trying to rotate the same, which results in the drivetrain 'fighting ' with itself, resulting in your excellent description of the symptom. You need to have the AWD system checked and repaired to correct the problem. You dont mention mileage, but due to the cars age, and probably mileage, this isn't unusual.

My car is a manual transmission, it wont go into reverse or 5th,

Your shift linkage may just be falling apart or your clutch pressure plate and throwout bearing may be gone. Good luck.

Valve adjustment

The EA82 does not use shims. Ticking almost always caused by a failed oil pump to engine block gasket failure. The gasket slowly fails which then allows the oil pump to pump air along with the oil. Replace the "Mickey Mouse" oil pump gasket.

COIL?

90 to 98 legacy (mine is a 98) coil should be the square-ish black unit with two sparkplug wires coming off laterally from each side--------sitting right on top of engine--middle of the silver colored alloy intake manifold--just behind alternator.
...The low voltage wire leads plug into the passenger side of the coil unit--covered with the flexible black protector--within which are 3 wires. Likely can tap here.

Hello, I am a Subaru certified tech.
I had the same problem w/ my '94 legacy wagon. I replaced the alternator and the battery and made sure my alternator fuse wasn't blown in the fuse box. I haven't had a problem since. I have never trusted any after market parts store to test anything. Hope this info helps...(subytech1)...
