I'm truly jealous. I thought I got lucky when I bought my 2012 Lincoln in 2017 with 57,900 original miles on it. :) I'm not 100% sure but is that old north star an aluminum block? If so, I would consult GM as to what to use to flush it with. If it was still cast iron, you could probably get away with most any flush. The one thing that I would be careful of is if the water pump is the original, try to get something that is not too corrosive to protect the old shaft and bearing seals. Some of the heavy duty over the counter flushes contain carbolic or phosphoric acid to eat the calcium and lime scale out of your radiator. This is why they used to say that Coca Cola was a good flush because it contained phosphoric and CARBONIC ACIDS. Carbonic acid being the carbon dioxide dissolved in it to give it the fizz. Factory service info. says nothing about the radiator needing to come out . Comes out from the bottom of the vehicle , alternator does . Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection . Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-4.6L.. Remove the radiator support access panel. Refer to Radiator Support Sight Shield Replacement in Body Front End. Remove the front engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement in Body Front End. Remove the upper front mounting bolt from the generator. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information. Loosen the rear generator bracket from the engine. Remove the top bolt. Remove the front lower mounting bolt. Remove the lower rear mounting bolt. Remove the upper rear mounting bolt. Remove the duct from the back of the generator. Disconnect the following electrical connections from the generator: • Regulator • Battery output • Heated windshield (if equipped). Remove the front generator A/C bracket. Rotate the generator and remove it from the vehicle.

I wouldn't even mess with fuse, go in the trunk an check for B+ voltage at the trunk lid pull down unit . At the red with white trace wire . Check the black wire for good ground . Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's with a DVOM - digital volt ohm meter . Do you know what a wiring diagram is an how to read one ? Under system click on body & accessories ,then under subsystem click on trunk pull down . Click the search button then the blue link. Looking at the diagram you will see the BCM - body control module is in control . Wouldn't think fuse problem unless a short to ground exsited .

When you start the car, the HVAC air control doors are automatically moved to a default position, and then as the engine heats up, the doors are moved to the requested position. Probably a problem with the passenger side electrical air mix door actuator, but could also be the passenger side temperature control. Try changing the setting to see if that has any effect. You will need the service manual to locate the actuators, to check them and replace if necessary.

Obvious, but did you check your battery (load test)?

Have you checked voltages at the fuse(s) at the fuse block for these modules? How about the voltages from the CPS? It may be as simple as a fuse that looks ok but is open, or a corroded wiring connector.

The theft light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hot wired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle.
