check all vacuum hoses.if any looks cracked replace them.make sure carburater bolts are tight.check the egr valve make sure its not leaking.besure have your idle speed adjusted.it should be at 550 to 600 rpms.
My 1984 cadi eldorado keeps dying or losing power
I have an eldorado 1984 barritz 4.1 engine. I am no mechanic but had a similar problem and it ended up being the main head gasket bolts were loose out of spec causing loss of compression and water and oil mix. I did the work myself but it was a fight. the car runs strong and with alot of power.

Sounds like the dashboard is not properly grounded. Also it can be a blinker or tail light bulb shorting out and back feeding power to the dash lights.

It sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator diaphragm, which is flooding out the engine. And probably the spark plugs are fouled out, caused by excessive gas from the bad pressure regulator. Here's a picture of the regulator diaphragm. It is part of the throttle body, but is replaceable.

Depending on how long the vehicle sits between the times you add fresh fuel, and take it for a spin etc, would determine how bad the fuel is in there. You might want to try adding fuel stabilizer if vehicle only gets fresh fuel occasionally Then I'd start looking for my ground wire at sending unit on tank, and check that it was good, before getting too carried away. On the other hand if it has been long enough for build up in the tank & that "shellac" smell coming out of tank, then yes, I'd advise pulling tank down, if for no other reason than to clean tank out, as well as flush fuel lines the best I could as well.
Air ride non working
the on and off switch for the air ride suspension in the trunk on the right hand side,in many its on under the hood on the inner fender of the left side .check out that switch first.to confirm its on properly and not damaged internally.

Power antenna motor will not shut off
I assume that the power antenna unit is an original equipment unit, if so.
1. Does it run for about a minute then stop? If this is the case, your antenna shaft needs to be replaced. This is a very simple procedure that your local radio install shop can do for you in about 20 minutes.
2. If the motor never shuts off as long as the key is on, you probably have a defective relay on the antenna motor. At this point you need to replace the entire unit. A job that can be a bit pricey because of the price of the unit itself. A cheeper fix is to replace the power antenna with a manually telescopic unit, (no motor), or a fixed unit, (doesn't go down). If you opt for the latter, remember to unscrew or lower the antenna in automatic car washes!

Ok the Regulator is most Likely RIVETED Into the Panel, Use a Small Punch to Knock OUT The CENTER PIN of Rivet ALL Of Them. Then You must DRILL out the Middle of the Aluminum Rivet
These should be replaced with bolts and locknut's , Drill until heads can be shaved off and shave them off. after this regulator must be in a position that is COMPACT Enough to Remove it out of the Largest Access Hole In Panel. REVERSE Procedure To Install.

no you might have to get someone with an OBD hand held (on board diagnostic) computer and clear codes that way
