Brake lights remain on after car is turned off
Sorry, but I may have gave you the wrong info. Thinking that the brake light stayed on in the IP. At the rear, then replace the brake switch. It is shorted. It is located on a bracket by the brake pedal arm. Under the dash. The brake switch touches the arm and is spring loaded.

When i shut the car off the brake lights remain on.
This is most likely a short in the instrument panel's(IP) logic chip. As long as you can start the car everyday, you can live with it or have the IP diagnosed and replace it. If you ever plan to leave it for a week or two. Disable the radio and nav systems if you have to, then remove the negative side of the battery. This light will drain the battery over time.

Brake spongy
get a buddy, maybe some beer, and bleed the brakes. one person pumps the peddle untill it is hard to push in, the other quickly and slightly opens the bleeder valve, if the person pumping the brakes foot hits the floor, the bleeder valve was not closed quick enough. its a litle tricky the first round. but to open and close in one motion is the ideal way. and this will involve shooting brake fluid out. protect your eyes and paint on car.. hold a rag over the top or slip a small hose over the bleeder valve to redirect the direction of the fluid.. or take it to a shop.

Key will not turn in door lock
I would try to spray penetrating oil into the key hole and work the key in and out a few times. The cylinders don't get used very often so it is probably stuck.

Esp light comes on after long journey
Hi there:The "ESP" system helps correct oversteer and understeer by breaking the inner or outer wheel as needed to get the car back on a straight path. When the light flashes the "ESP" system has detected this condition and has momentarily engaged. The fault can range anywhere basically from simply a failed brake lamp switch to anything like a failed wheel speed sensor,or brake pressure sensor etc. Check first to make sure you didnt accidently push the ESP on/off button on your dash which would cause this light to come on also. If thats not the case then you will have to have the code or codes read in your ESP control module (computer) to see what code or codes are set to be able to diagnose from here.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
