When i driving a red light sign like(!) shone some

That is the same as a check engine light. Look in your owners manual. I would check all fluid levels before you go on any journeys.

Air filter

On the A6 your filter is located inside a plastic box on the passenger side of the engine compartment(USA). Yes you can replace it, simply remove the top part of the box, withfraw the old filter and reinstall the new one.

1995 audi a6 water pump went and so did the timein

If this is an interference type engine then yeas there is a real chance you could have major internal damage, such as a piston hitting a valve. If it is not an interference engine then there should be know issue other then a new belt, tensioner and water pump.
I hope this may have helped you,
Tom

Surges of 3 to 26 and failures of idle speed

If the Battery is GOOD, the Alternator should produce a near constant of 13 to 13.4 volts at the Battery at all engine speeds. Your fluctuations recorded [if the multimeter is good] would indicate an uncontrolled open circuit from the Alternator, due to Regulator Failure, and a JUNK Alternator. Confirm by taking it to a reputable Accessory Store, where they will Bench Test it for FREE.

Replacing the Stereo in an 1995 Audi A6 Quattro....

I assume this is an aftermarket radio and you don't know the connections?

Normally, the red is + and the black -. A yellow wire usually is a feed to a power amp to turn it on when the radio goes on.

On the speaker side, you should have paired up wires like:
Yellow solid and yellow w/black stripe
Brown solid and brown with black stripe
Green soild and green with black stripe... you get the idea. The solid color wire is the positive and the balck striped match is the negative.
There should be 8 speaker wires altogether to give you L/R fron and L/R rear.

If you don't know which terminal is positive and negative on your speakers, try this;
Take a 1-1/2 volt AA battery and connect it to a speaker momentarily ( I do mean momentarily or you'll blow it). If the speaker cone moves out away from the magnet then the terminals match the polarity of the battery - and +.
If the cone moves towards the magnet the polarity is reversed. It is important you connect the speaker phasing (polarity) correctly other wise you will get poor bass output.
Whatever you do, do not ground any speaker wires!!!!

Where is ac low pressure conector to recharge system

Audi doesn't have a low side AC port, the system must be serviced through the high side port, this requires a special power charging machine that you guessed it, is dealer only, they are the only car company that does this. this info comes from the Audi factory service manual for your car.
Here is a work around I found, I leave it up to u to decide if you want to risk damaging the compressor.
First your going to have to re-thread the a/c fitting for the compressor (metric to english) to accept a standard english low side connection. The trick to servicing it through the compressor is to only charge about .1 to .2 pounds of refrigerant at a time (5 minute intervals in between). You have to take it slow or else you'll lock up the compressor and be "up sh*t's creek

My infrared remote does not work. I have an Audi A6 1995

Do you have memory seats as well? If so follow these steps I am going to refer to the keys as A and B as you have 2 of them
1) Unlock car with key A
2) Turn ignition into ON position with key A and roll down the window
3) Point Key B at IR Sensor and Click twice (perform both clicks under 5 seconds)
4) Turn off ignition and pull Key A out
5) Turn ignition into ON position with Key B
6) Point Key A at IR Sensor and Click once
7) Turn off ignition and Pull Key B out

Key A should be programmed as the Master Seat Program and Key B should be programmed for the Secondary seat program
So when you set your memory seats Key A is for Memory Position 1 and Key B is for memory position 2
if you don't have memory seats then you only have to point the receiver at the sensor and click once. That should just sync the IR Frequency and Codes
