The audi was water flooded
did the computer get wet? did the Ignition control module get wet? if they did they must be replaced, as all connector must be pulled apart and checked for any corrosion, this will be allot of work and may not be worth the expense and labor time..
Removing door panel
Buy a panel puller at Autozone and pry it loose AT THE BOTTOM NEAR THE HINGE first. If you accidentally break the clip, it won't be noticable. Do it on top first, and you're door panel is in your lap everytime you drive. Most panels have clips that just snap in. In theory, they just snap out, but they often break in the process. Be prepared to go to the parts store to buy replacement. Cheap, but can be a pain in the ****. Good luck.
Looking for complete workshop manual
Go to ebay motors and enter you year, make and model order the repair manual on cd they are about $20.00 and have service bulletins, recall info, and of course a detailed repair manual inside.
It only comes on when
add a can of SEAFOAM to a tank or at least 1/2 tank of Premium gas. later change the fuel filter, and see how that does. ethanol gas problem #99. add a can of SEAFOAM every 3000 miles and it will cure your emission.fuel and engine ping, and carbon problems.
I need to change my
Serpentine belt is the external belt that drive the water pump,alternator,A/C compressor and power steering pump.
Timing belt is not the same as serpentine belt.
Timing belt drive the cylinder head and ride on the tensioner.
Changing serpentine belt will ne change the timing belt.
To change serpentine belt you will need to locate the belt routing diagram or draw one (SEE HOW THE BELT warp around the pully)
A long wrench to release the pulley tensioner.
Remove and install the new serpentine belt.
It will easier if you can have someone pull on the wrench and you can slide on the serpentine belt.
Car sometimes don't start for
Hello,
You're probably facing 'fuel pressure problem'. Your fuel pressure
regulator doesn't hold pressure. FYI, it is located at the fuel
distrbutor, has a cylindrical shape. There's a return valve that send
back excess fuel to the fuel tank. A faulty FPR will cause this
problem.
If it's an automatic, try putting it in Neuteral and then starting it.
If that works, you have a contact in your shifter (park) that's going/
gone bad. Hope this helps
Do check it out.
Cheers!
Ryan
Location fuel pump
Fuel pumps always under the bonnet near or on the engine.
Tank only has some float level device signalling to front dashboard.
Undo the rear seat and you get the picture.
For full details see if you can get a famous Haynes manual on that model Audi. You'll love it.
No restart when warm audi 100
Do you checked the petrol filter? It can be simple as that.
check the MAF, the spark plugs and cabling, air filter, petrol pump.
I had the same problem with mine (same year, same model), I cleaned all the air intake system, fuel line, and now it's perfect (even needing to change petrol filter, i didn't changed it yet). Careful cleaning the MAF, if you don't know how to do it don't do it, ask an expert near you.
If you can't solve the problem this way, search for air or fuel leaks.
I solved mine cleaning the fuel line and the air intake system.
2006 Audi A8 EPC and check engine light.
Let's break down the situation:
EPC Light:
The EPC light typically comes on when there's a problem with engine sensors or components. It might be related to the throttle sensor or the temperature sensor.
When the EPC light activates, the engine electronics may limit power and maximum RPM. As a result, the computer might restrict the engine's performance, allowing you to drive at low speeds only.
Check Engine Light:
The Check Engine light illuminates when the engine management system detects a fault or error.
The codes you've provided indicate specific issues:
Code 17950/P1542/005442: Angle sensor 1 for Throttle Actuator (G187) has an implausible signal.
Code 16891/P0507/001287: Idle Control System RPM is higher than expected.
Possible Causes and Solutions:
Fuel System Issues: Given the fault codes related to fuel pressure, it's essential to check the fuel system. Low fuel pressure could cause hesitation and trigger both lights.
Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF): A faulty MAF sensor can lead to engine hesitation, rough idling, and stalling. Consider inspecting or replacing the MAF sensor.
Throttle Body: Although the dealer replaced the throttle body earlier, it's worth verifying its functionality again.
Idle Control System: The high RPM issue might be related to the idle control system. Inspect the idle control valve and related components.
Wiring and Connections: Check for loose or damaged wiring, connectors, and vacuum lines.
Next Steps:
Diagnostic Scan: Perform a thorough diagnostic scan to identify any additional fault codes.
Visual Inspection: Inspect the throttle body, angle sensor, and wiring connections.
Fuel Pressure Test: Verify fuel pressure using a fuel pressure gauge.
MAF Sensor: Consider cleaning or replacing the MAF sensor.
Idle Control Valve: Inspect the idle control valve for proper operation.
Remember that intermittent issues can be challenging to diagnose. If the problem persists, consult a qualified mechanic or an Audi specialist to pinpoint the exact cause and address it effectively.
Audi A6 1.9 TDI (C5) - No communication to car from OBD.
The OBD2 port is connected directly to the ECM and data from other modules is shared from there.
'Mechanics' deal with the mechanical aspects of the car, you need a specialist auto electrician. They have the knowledge and experience and the ability to access and read wiring diagrams.

The first thing to check would be the connectors on the ECM and BCM. Then open them up and look for burned out components.
Full wiring diagrams normally require a website paid or unpaid subscription.

Re-reading the question, did you have one model and year of vehicle and then replace the engine from a different year and model? You can't do that, the ECM has no idea what's going on. ECM are dedicated to the engine it is connected to and programmed accordingly
