Where do u add brake

You should see a round cylinder, usually with a white cap, in the top right hand corner of your engine compartment. That is where you add your break fluid. The cap may be black though. It is mounted on the firewall, which is the back of the engine.

Looking for an emissions diagram

ledsled378_10.gif
You will have to copy the diagram and paste it to MS paint to zoom in on it. The file is otherwise too large for the site.

Guru: you answered me

U will need the factory diagrams for this detailed info which we don't have here, this is a link to buy the Ford OEM wiring diagram booklet (used) that has every diagram u need at a very reasonable price.

Our dvd player isnt working

most likely the laser beam is defective or the DVD spin motor is defective, but here is the thing about Ford cars entertainment systems, the factory doesn't sell any parts or repair manuals to the public, you must have it repaired by a electronics repair center that is certified by Ford, there are many companies on the internet that repair these players, below is one such company, they will provide removal instructions (requires special tool kit), I know this information is correct as i am a retired Ford dealer technician.

I'm putting new brake pads

easiest way is to before you remove the old pads.

or you can put the old ones back in and stick a screwdriver in between the rotor and the old brake pad and pry the caliper pistons back. make sure you dont make a dent in the rotor. Pry so the point of the screwdriver is on the old pads. . Only do one side at a time. If the other side pads are off when you do this you will push the pistons right out of the caliper. . Also if the resorvior is full you will push the fluid over the top so you may need to remove some before you begin. There is a tool you can buy that accomplishes this same thing but for the home mechanic my method is free and easy.

My 2006 Mercury Monterey message

hi rkollar,

thank you for using fixya.

with regard to your issue, there is a possibility that the fuse holding the circuit for the peanut bulbs broke. this can be checked through your fuse box, just look for the dash panel and the message center.

How important is the back heater? Maybe you can bypass it with a short hose and not worry about it anymore.

If you want to do it yourself. Most auto parts stores and hardware stores have recharge kits. Purchase a kit with a gauge to prevent overfilling.

Can i take the oil pan out on my 2008 2.3L mercury milan without pulling the engine out

Yes, It can be done. It will depend on how the pan is bolted on. Some vehicle makers fit pan bolts that are hidden inside the transmission housing. This means the transmission will need to come off. If you can get a workshop manual for the vehicle it will give you a guide as to where all the bolts are.
