Just getting old. Replacing it is the safest thing to do. Personally I would not worry until it leaked or got worse, but that is me. Replacement is always the safest thing to do.

take the panel off the tailgate and check ur tailgate latch and or switch. may need replacement . be sure not to slam the tailgate down too hard anything, could damage the latch

Could be the guard plate around the disc.(If it is disc brakes)

My guess is bad brakes or anti-rattle plate malfunction. time for a brake job or worse.

The airflow control ( defrost/floor/vent ) is controlled by electric motors attached to the heater box assembly. There will be no cables/screws causing this issue. Some of these motors require the entire dash assembly to be removed for access depending on their location. It would be advisable to have a certified repair center to look in to this repair as airbags may need to be disconnected if the dash has to be removed fot the repair
