No, you don't have to take the wheel off. Just have to take the cover off between the wheel and the dash. Once that's off, then you will have access to the ignition. The only thing is, when you get your new ignition in, you will have to take it to a Honda dealer and have the ignition and key coded together. what light? A/T or M/T tranny? FWD 4WD , what engine what tranny? open glove box door. extract the operators guide (manual) if lost, HONDA has it for free. RTM page 175 on mine shows how to check A/T tranny ATF fluids. and all other fluids too. RTM ! its all there. and has instructions for each type of dash light or warning what it means, and what to do. if confused, post exact message. or ask any mechinc to check this.
