How to remove fuel pump SUBARU FORESTER 1997
Hi,
THe fuel pump is located under the back seat.
Pop off the bottom seat to reveal the carpet (if any) and you will find a cover with 4 screws.
Underneath that, you will find the fuel tank secured by several small nuts.
If this is a DIY, be careful not to damage the floater on removal or return.
Hope that helps.
Recommended tyre pressures
If that is the right size tire for your car, the tire pressures are on a sticker on the edge of the drivers door or on the drivers door post where the door covers when it's closed or on a sticker on the bottom of the inside of the glovebox. ALL cars have the tire pressures on a sticker in one of those 3 places.
We have new brake pads and new rotors, now abs light is on, Why
Interesting question. The ABS magnetic sensors on each wheel can get gummed up with dirt, rust and brake dust. Perhaps the brake shop did not clean the sensor properly, or worse, may have damaged one or more when the rotors are replaced. The sensor also has a tough wire up to the chassis. If this is damaged or disconnected, the ABS light will turn on.
Take it back to the shop and have them check.
Water in exhaust
It's normal with a catalictic converter. That's what the cat does, coverts some of the gases to water vapor.
How to free 2001 subaru forester parking brake
Most likely you have two problems. The park brake cables can rust under the car, and jam, usually where they pass into the brake assembly. Replacement is required.
The park brake assembly (drum or drum-in-disk) are more or less the same, and small internal bits (springs and clips) rust and wear out.
Replacing the cables requires the brake assembly to be opened up for inspection anyway.
Turbo not boosting
turbos that are not boosting may be loosing the pressure from cracked/split intercooler, loose hose clips, split hoses and seized up variable vanes in the turbine side which the actuator tries to work when it gets vacuum from the actuator control module. Check that this hose is not cracked or broken off
Why do i have low power on the subaru forester 2003 when its hot?
There is an air sensor on your air filter intake. I would first suggest having this checked for proper function. There are other sensors that can also be checked. Your problem does not sound mechanical
Sidebar: I have always used full-synthetic oil for turbo-equipped automobiles.
Tailgate will not open
If you have a Subaru alarm system, you need to press unlock twice in quick succession to unlock the tailgate (and the passenger doors).
There is also a 30mm round access panel on the tailgate inside trim panel. You can stick your finger in an unlock the tailgate. Your tailgate outside lock handle may be rusted solid, which is jamming the lock.
How to change tie rod on 98 subaru forester?
You need a tie rod exterior tool, about $80. This tubular tool fits over the tie rod, after you disconnect it from the upright and rod end. The tool is a worthwhile addition to your tool kit.
Power lock clicking
some are built in the fuse box did it get wet or corrosion build up can cause shorting out try unplugging the battery and see if it resets check radio code if needed first before unpluging battery but i think you have a short in fuse box
Intermittent rough idle
Possible dirty throttle body/plate. Start at the parts store and get Throttle body cleaner. While you are there get some Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner (both very specific and should not be interchanged) and clean them both. Good idea to clean these from time to time. I do this as part of my fall routine...new air filter, oil change, wiper blades.
