Replaced battery and now every window but drivers wont go down
for the windows to do down automatically you have to program them yourself. All you do is turn ignition on. use the window switch on the door of the window you are using. How the button down until window goes all the way down, pause about 1 second, then the same thing going up. But don't stop holding the button down, or up. Hold down during the pause down, and hold up when going up.
2006 LEXUS IS250 CHANGED BATTERY BUT NOW DRIVERS
Do you mean main battery under bonner or battery in key fob? If main battery, this fault with drivers window is a coincedence, if you mean key fob, you will need to reprogramme key fob, speak to your dealer
Battery in my gs 300 sport
remove battery and charge for 24 hours before trying to start plus check batteries water level and top up with de-ionised water if necessary
Car unable to startup
either the starter motor is loose or the teeth are stripped from the starter motor which means it cant connect to the flywheel to turn the engine
Water Accumalates on rear passenger foot area
It is probably a clogged air conditioning drain hose. I had the same issue just a few days ago. You can locate the hose underneath the right side of the car just behind the control arm. Use a wire coat hanger, straighten it out and bend a little hook at the end. Gently push the wire up the tube and pull. Whatever is stuck will come out, along with all of the trapped water!
Where is the air filter
first, remove the front black cover located next to the front grille. next, remove the black cover located on the left. the retainers can be removed by pushing down on pin located in the middle.
once these are removed, you'll see a black box. this contains the air filter. it can be opened by pushing the metal clips outwards. lift the cover and you'll find the filter. most stores don't stock these filters so you'll probably need to order it.
Both my 2006 Lexus GS
Hi there,
the key is probably coded for the car. so you need to goto the dealer and get the appropriate key blank.
Honestly, it's best in this case to spend the money for the key at the dealer because they'll get you the right key and if it's coded, they wil code it to the car for you. if they're charging a grand, it sounds like the key is coded. the key might be laser cut as well, upping the price.
Thanks
Replacement brake pads for 06 Lexus GS 300?
go with standard pads.they wear a little faster than ceramics.but they dont wear down brake rotors.ceramics pads are hard and they cause brakes to squeak.also your car is under warranty with lexus dealership.i would use what they said. because you have future brake problem. they will void out warranty for not using their brakes.
How to change the maintenance light in a 2006 GS 300
Chris,
I know you have the solution by now by Im submitting this post anyway.
To reset the oil maintence:
Have the car in a secure location with the engine off
1. Press the ingition button once, do not have your foot on the break pedal
2. Make sure you have the instrument cluster (panel on left hand side below gauges) open
3. The button marked "reset" depress it for 30 seconds and the "oil maintenance," should be reset.
Hope that helps.
The battery to my 06 Lexus gs 300 was replaced
Sounds like you need to reset the auto up/down feature. Most vehicles require you to "roll" the window down, hold for 10 secs, roll the window up, and hold switch for 10 secs. This should reset it. If not, you may need to do reverse of what I said.
Brake pad pulsating
Possible causes- low spot on the rotors. Caliper pins not sliding with pulsation. May not need to replace pads.
Replace purge valve on my 2003 lexus gs300
The purge valve is mounted in the engine compartment, probably on the firewall. It is held on by two bolts. It has an electrical connector and two vacuum hoses and looks like the pic below. . Release the connector and unscrew the two bolts. Move the vacuum lines from the old valve to the new one. Bolt the new valve down and connect the wiring harness.
