Timing belt...Lexus recommends replacing at 90K.

Every 60-80,000 miles and most definately replace the water pump and all belts that are involved as the most expense is of course the labor and you are naturally paying for that when they go in to replace the pump so it only makes sense to add on the parts that are easily installed once the timing belt is removed.

You should always use premium fuel on the high conmpression V8 engine. Cheaper fuel can cause a PING, and possible engine damage. 87 octane is definitely not recommended at any time, but sometimes you can get by with 89 for a small period of time.

Gas mileage and power will both be down with lower octane fuel, so do not use it all the time.

In my opinion, if your steering wheel is straight, and not pulling, and your tire wear is even, I wouldn't worry about it. Alignments are usually done for those reasons, and for major front end parts replacements.

You are going to find that you will need a computer scanner to fix the AC There could be many things wrong with your car that could cause this issue. Most Lexus cars have incripted data that can only be acessed by Lexus so take it to your local dealer to get it fixed.

Hi. Your in-car integrated door opener button in your LS430, is powered by the vehicles electrical assembly. There's no battery to change. this may be an issue that concerns the garage door openers sensor unit, that is located on the actual garage door unit. Locate the sensor wire on the garage door opener inside your garage. use caution. You may need to use a small step ladder to reach and remove the cover. The sensor wire will be hanging down, on most units. Inspect the wire to make sure that it is not loose, or damaged. make sure the wire is hanging freely. If the wire is OK, and connected to the opener securely, this will indicate that the in car button is the culprit. Try relocating the sensor wire on the opener, before replacing the in car button circuit. NOTE_ If the in car button is located on the visor, the culprit will be a damaged sensor in the visor, itself. This will require you to have the entire visor replaced. the sensor is not repairable.

it's at the end of the intake ducting. Probably in a plastic box in a corner behind the headligh.

its in the trunk, remove the panel that says navigation, hit the eject button and replace the disk. make sure the car is on while you do this. it will automatically load the new disk

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

check the wiring on the brakes u changed

make sure the wheel is straight before turning off car as well as it may be in need of an alignment

there is a tsb for the telescoping motor and linkeage, also sometimes the ground wire to the horn gets torn from use, since it runs down the steering cloumn, or possibly just a fuse.

sounds like the air-con gas is low switch on air-con a nd check to see if the compressor clutch is pulling in if not reove h/p dust cap on the aircon pipe press schroder valve to see if gas escapes if not will need re-gassing even if you get gas out without a pressure gauge it is hard to tell if the right anount of gas is in the system.

The trunk should auto close when you manually lower the lid to the almost closed position, but it is NOT designed to open up fully when you hit the trunk release on the key fob, nor when you open the trunk manually using the touch sensitive button under the lip of the trunk.

I say a factory warranty is always worth the money, but read the fine print.
