Front end vibrates at any speed

have a wheel alignment done as the upper strut mounting plate was not put back in the right place . . The mounting plate is off set so by turning it around ,the wheel alignment changes and when the strut was re assembled the original holes were not in the right place and the alignment has altered.

Fuse blows under the hood

which fuse. i can tell you : 1: its big short, and this saved you a nice fire. 2: or someone pulled the alternator and not disconnect the battery. each fuse has a name and a number, the lid of the box , shows the names. each as an amperage rating, this too, give a huge clue as to which one it is. alldata.com , look your self. or post name.

Fuse for horn blows

after market alarm? we could not begin to answer, how could we, it UNKNOWN system. but the horn is shorted, get a new horn or fix the shorted wire to it.

Won't go into gear

is this an auto or stick shifted car, ??? we can not guess this, ever. you said, Gear, that is stick shift and A/T has no gears. it has, R, D, 1,2,.. selections... are all 4 dead.? shudders? starts, is RPM 800 or more? you then shift to say reverse... and step on the throttle , RPM is 800 and it advances to 1500 or more and car moves, does RPM go above 3000 and not move that means , the tranny (or TCM or sensors) are bad. if your RPM goes to 2000 and is stuck there, and car will not move in any shifted rage, 1,2,D,L, then the brakes are iced over. the key to this mystery is RPM. the engine RPM will tell you what is happening, for sure. post it. and we can tell you. slipping is when the tranny allows RPM to be unlimited at right foot actions. if the brakes are frozen the RPM will be at the TC clutch stall speed that is , about 2000rpm max and will shake there. (5sec max doing that) see the FSM on stall speed, of your A/T if this is a clutch car, say so, M/T stick car, say so, that be DIFFERENT/

Over heating and no power inhonda crv 1999

power, is that engine power, or electric power dead? my guess overheats and engine power drops , that later is normal for the former. so fix the overheat. there are lots of causes. but does it over heat parked, or moving fast or both. is the top clue so is steam. or the green on the ground/

1999 honda crv shuts off while in drive.

next time it dies, cranks and wont start, do this if you have someone else with you. carry a spare spark plug, then when the problem arises pull off a plug wire put the spare plug into it and ground the end somewhere in the engine bay, then have someone bump the key and watch to see if the plug has a spark or not, that will at least tell you what problem to go searching for. if it had air, it still does when it dies so it will either be spark or fuel related. just because the pump runs, doesnt mean the ecu is telling the injectors to fire, so still could be a fuel issue. is the check engine light on?

My music player works perfectly in the last 2

what is a music player,???? where is it plugged in to if external to car, where, CIG lighter> and what? the car did no have ipod ports in 1999 so, its not stock if it has ports. something that came new with car?"STOCK"? or added, or what? music, comes in only so many sources 1: cassette CD, DVD, DVD MP3 2: Am-FM radio. or SAT) 3: USB , stick with mp3 music (this is what i use ) 4: jacked in (mini plug) Ipods or MP3 players of any kind. my guess is 4, a MP3 player./???? which are you.? and the fuses are in the cab fuse box. if car device factory stock if not say so. the CRV opr. guide is here, fuses are in the manual, in fact. http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/honda/honda-cr-v-owners-manuals/ RTM. if fuses are good, post back, that they are or, ask how to test fuses a tech knows , fuse that look good, can in fact be bad. fuse that look bad, for sure are. we use a DMM on ohms to test all suspected fuse. (100% accurate) if the DEVICE , uses CIG power, and is dead, the CIG fuse is blown. see the manual above.

99 Honda CRV, Irratic idle and shifting hard

A/T hard shifts. well if RPM is way too high ,then that is NORMAL.it's the RPM wrong.my joke, is sell car to Toyota, they need 1 more lawsuit.joking aside, this car has EFI (electronic fuel injection , system)and in all EFI cars, the ECU/PCM controls idle at all times.this is called IAC or ISC, idle speed controls and the devices.if the idle is out of control it can be because. (yours is)1: air leaks ( vacuum) in the intake systems and plenum.2: bad or dirty IAC or ISC. (clean them and test them)3: if car has DIZZY (old) someone set the timing way off.distributor. cars. and some early CMP cam angle sensor cars.also, the ECU can in fact lose idle controls while in limphome mode. so is the CEL off running?if not ,? scan the ECU for all DTCs codes and post them and get help.CEL = check engine lamp, RTM , read the op guide.or rherehttp://hondatech.info/downloads/Auto/Manuals/CR-V/

Recently bought a 99 CR-V. Had it tuned up and

Old post.same here, there is only 2 paths (besides wild $$$ guessing)1: yes, do scan it, if the tool goes dead (comms down) the ECU lost 12vdc power. (the CEL goes dead to , just key on, if no power to ECU/PCM.2: or diagnose the no start.what is flicker?, the dash lights come on key on to tell you power is ok and all things running them thinks they are happy,some cars have immobilzers, and it does flicker at IMMO mode.blocking you.be specific on lights. what lights to what.the operators guide is free, and shows each light.

Oil in coolant

Possibly a crack head or blown head gasket. Which allows the motor oil to mix in with your coolant fluid. You car will still run fine but not for long. Take the head apart and have a shop do pressure test on it. If bad, replace the head. Roughly $80.00 - $200 bucks used. If still good, look into the bottom block, maybe that's bad. But mostly it's a cracked head or blown head gasket. If just the blown head gasket, resurface the head and buy new head gasket and re install the head back. Good Luck.
