How am i supposed to get ride off the Service theft system?

It's hard to fix something if you don't know how it works ! Fixed ignition ? What did you fix or change ? SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM Security: Refer to Theft Systems Description and Operation in Theft Deterrent You need to have it checked for trouble codes . The theft deterrent system on this vehicle is comprised of two separate systems, the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system and the content theft deterrent (CTD) system. The VTD system prevents drive away theft by keeping the vehicle from starting. The CTD system is the vehicle alarm system which discourages unauthorized entry into the vehicle. These systems are described and diagnosed separately within this section. Theft System Indicators SECURITY The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the SECURITY indicator as determined by the vehicle theft deterrent (VTD) system and the content theft deterrent (CTD) system. The IPC receives a message from the theft deterrent control module or the rear integration module (RIM) via the serial data circuit requesting illumination. ?€¢ The VTD system requests the IPC to illuminate the indicator only when the ignition switch is ON. The VTD system uses the indicator as a malfunction indicator. For specific VTD condition that will illuminate the security indicator, refer to Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) Description and Operation .

?€¢ The CTD system requests the IPC to illuminate the indicator only when the ignition switch is OFF. The CTD system uses the indicator in order to identify system status. For specific CTD condition that will illuminate the security indicator, refer to Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) Description and Operation .

?€¢ The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds. SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM The radio illuminates the SERVICE THEFT SYSTEM message when the VTD system detects a failure. The radio receives a message from the theft deterrent control module via the serial data circuit requesting illumination. This is one you need to take to the dealer , unless you have a GM factory scan tool !

Can TC not let the car keys come out?

The ignition switch cylinder unit is faulty and needs to be replaced. Do NOT run oil or any other fluid lubricant into the switch mechanism to try and free the keys as this can cause even more problems.

I'm trying to change the fuel pressure regulater valve on my 2004cts cadilac.I checked the fuel rail not there. Someone told me It is on top the gas tank. Please help me locate it.

What engine does yours have ? 3.6 L engine the regulator is inside the fuel tank ! 2.6 an 3.2L is on the fuel rail ! 5.7L inside fuel tank ! The fuel pressure regulator attaches to the fuel return pipe on the fuel sender assembly. The fuel pressure regulator is a diaphragm-operated relief valve. A software bias compensates the injector on-time because the fuel pressure regulator is not referenced to manifold vacuum. The injector pulse width varies with the signal from the mass air flow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. With the engine running at idle, the system fuel pressure at the pressure test connection should be between 380-410 kPa (55-60 psi). With the system pressurized and the pump OFF the pressure should stabilize and hold. If the pressure regulator supplies a fuel pressure which is too low or too high, a driveability condition will result. You would have to change The modular fuel pump sender assembly ! Now what makes you think you need to have it changed ? Now

Transmission problems

First off, I'd try changing the fluid and filter in the transmission. I know a lot of cars claim "lifetime fluid" - it's BS. Believe me, even the lifetime fluids get very dirty. Change out the fluid and filter, and you could even add some Lucas stabilizer to it - that may well help cure the problems.

When the transmission goes completely, it may lock up the drive wheels, sending you into a careening slide, or it may kick out to neutral and coast to a stop. It's also possible that if it flat-out blows, it could fragment inside and you'd hear what sounds like bolts in a blender as you coast to a standstill.

Discounting the transmission blowing up, and just looking at driving in a drive gear other than overdrive, you're looking at more heat in the transmission due to the higher gear RPM, shorter fluid life, possible slippage of the bands down the road due to heat, and of course decreased gas mileage due to the engine running at higher RPM.

How to removed and install The ECM

Your better off taking it to the dealer , after replacing it needs to be programmed or it will not run . Information from the old has to be up loaded to GM Tech 2 scan tool to load on new one ! Then you would need to pay for a subscription to GM'S service programming system to get software to program new ECM . Program the ECM. Refer to Service Programming System (SPS) in Programming. If you encounter an ECM programming error, with a display message of "Starting Disabled, Remove Key" on the driver information center, with a diagnostic test code (DTC) of P1631, perform the "10-Minute Relearn Procedure" found in Programming Theft Deterrent System Components. Refer to Programming Theft Deterrent System Components . Additional information can be found in service bulletin number 05524 A. Turn OFF the ignition for at least 5 seconds after the programming event is complete. Perform the idle learn procedure. Refer to Idle Learn . Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs. Of if you a few grand you could buy a J2534 programming tool an J2534 Reprogramming Tool

2004 cadillac cts gas gauge stuck reading zero

The reason the guage is staying at empty is because it has set a code for a fuel level sensor. This car has 2 so it could be either one, or a wiring issue (unlikely). When you disconnect the battery, you likely either clear the code or reset it as not current so it allows the gauge to work for a short time until the code sets again. Have it scanned and I am sure you will find a code likely P2066 or P2068 for the level sensors.

Need heip to remove and replace a alt on a 2004 cadillac cts 3.6

Are you sure you need an alternator? Have you had your favorite autoparts store check it and battery for you? Since you seem inclined to DIY, I recommend you purchace a repair manual from auto parts, or try filepeep.com if they have it, or manualslib.com You will probably want it again anyway.
