Where is the freeze plug location on a 1998 buick riviera supercharge
There are between 6 and 10 plugs. They are on the sides of the engine block, look under the exhaust manifolds. They are round plugs 1-1 1/2 " dia .. that are driven into the engine. Their purpose is to pop out in case the engine coolant freezes to keep the block from cracking.. They also allow the sand from sand casting to be removed from the engine block casting. during manufacture.. Replacing them can be easy if its one you can see and eaisly get at.. Can also be impossible without removing many parts and in some cases removing the engine from the car. Good luck. Go to an auto parts store (NAPA is a good one) And look at or purchase a plug so you know what you are looking for.

Idle screw location, 1982 mercedes benz 380sec
Not in less than 25 words, but for your reading pleasure - here you go...There is no "idle screw" on your model mercedes. It is a fuel injected (in other words, not an older normal aspirator type carbuertor), computer controlled idle/air mixture. There is an idle/air speed control valve part (see picture ) that connects to the idle/air control unit (another programmable computer - one of about 20 in this model) that determines idle speed and air/fuel mixture. Mercedes is top of the line, but really too complicated for the average joe to work on. Best to pay the man and take to a mercedes specialist shop.

Will srart by the starter but not by the ignition and won't stay started
First let's define some terminology. The job of the starter motor is to "crank" the engine, if it does this, weather the engine runs is going to depend on the fuel system and the ignition system and good compression. Try this: with one hand, hold the key it the "crank" position, with your other hand, move the gear shift (slowly)from park to reverse to neutral to drive. Make sure you foot is on the brake as it may start in gear. If it starts while doing this, you have a bad neutral safety switch.
Also, It wont stay running when you crank it by jumping the starter if the ignition switch is off. Try doing it again with the key on. If it starts with the key on, and you jumping it at the starter, you probably have a bad, or out of adjustment, ignition switch. If it does not start, with the key on and cranking by jumping the starter, then you probably have a fuel or ignition problem.
Try the above and get back to me. I can walk you through how to check for fuel and spark if it still wont run.
Throttle body codes
it is the thing that lets petrol into the inlet manifold then it goes into the combustion chamber, basically. These have an amount of sensors on them. one of them may have been knocked or loosened itself
E48 - EGR System Problem 91 cadillac deville
EGR systems are prone to trouble, because it recirculates exhaust gases back into the manifold, the EGR valve gums up with carbon from the exhaust gases, if it is the type you can remove, remove the valve it generally can be cleaned with carb cleaner and replaced.
Where is the Intermittent VSS Sensor Signal located on my 91 deville
You misunderstand code, there is a VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) it's problem is that it is giving an intermittent signal. The VSS is what tells the speedometer how fast you are going (among other things) it is located in the transmission (transaxle). '91 is right around the time when they were going away from mechanical speedometer cables so it may or may not have one depending on the production date. If it has a cable the VSS is built into the speedo gear housing. If there is no cable, the VSS is in the same location on the tranny it just has no provision to drive the speedo cable If you have the new part it may help you to find it on the car but it should be in the left side of the transmission housing near where the left drive axle goes into the case. The VSS gear actually drives off of the very end of that axle inside the gear case. I think it is a 10mm head bolt that retains the VSS.
Hope this helps, best of luck.

1992 cadillac deville leaking oil at dipstick
I would look for other leaks. If you are sure it's leaking at the dipstick tube, there is normally an o-ring where the tube presses into the engine. In general, this is an odd place for a leak, as ther eshould be no oil pressure in the pan (where the tube terminates) and unless the engine is overfilled with oil, the tube end shouldn't be immersed in oil to leak. IF there is pressure in the oil pan, that generally indicates bad rings. I have seen engines where the oil dipstick actually pops out of the tube under pressure when the engine is running due to pressure in the oil pan from blow-by at the rings.
Won,t start
If you can start it with starting fluid, then it is a fuel issue. When a vehicle is stored for a long time, it can cause varnish.
