You will need the code to get it working. You may need Audi for this. Never disconnect the battery, or the alarm with trip on. Since it is frozen, I would try and remove the fuse, and reinstall it to reset the stereo. Then try the code.
I got lucky in my 2001 VW passat, when the stereo code was needed, but then the next day it started working by itself.

Take it to a garage.. as the fault codes etc that resulted in the gearbox going into limp mode need to be reset. I might have entered limp mode spuriously but more likely there is a legitimate fault

Answer with a real phone number , address and email real, as requested, or it's all just a waste of everyones time. (and your cash) They track you with PayPal. (above link) or with a credit card. One kid ,on the car forum, tried to guess the codes,on his car Radio , it has 9999 codes, he found it after 3000 tries. I'd bet that was no fun. His radio, did not have , the "too many guesses", total bricking feature. The web sites that do codes services, may be limited by where you live. (and some sites are Identity Theft portals. Good luck finding safe places on the internet) When you search ,at the web places found , it tries to match your country codes of your browser. (Codes of UK can be different that USA , surely) Sending you to the proper store. Have ready:

• The make, model and year of the vehicle
• The vehicle identification number (VIN) of the vehicle
• The brand, serial number and part number of the radio (this might take removing said radio, to get this sticker tag data, on some radio's)
• Your name and address and email , all this or just your phone number, and you might get a call, to be sure it's really your phone., and really your email.

Turn off and check positive cable for wear, if the cables outer covering is damaged, it can short to the chassis or other metal parts of the car.. and cause the cable to heat up. Leave it in that sate long enough and it will eventually melt. or in extreme cases cause a fire. If you find any damage, then replace said cable immediately

my right side tail light wont come on. ive replaced bulb and still no power I even checked fuse.

immobilizer relearn. might need a locksmith, mobile diagnostic or dealer to relearn security. BUT FIRST check youtube and see if there is a procedure you can do yourself. a lot of the times there is. Regards, Tim

try speeding up engine tickover a little

well, this morning they are fine, all i did was checked all fuses that had to do with illumination and radio. none were bad so no replacements were made, and now it works. wish i knew what i did.

code 00542 refers to injector needle lift sensor===causes--air in fuel system--fuel level low---wiring--- needle lift sensor . Check for air in the manifold and if ok the replace the sensor.

may have a loose vacuum line,look around and see if anyhing is out of place and follow the noise.

That is the seat heater plug most likely and you car is not equipped with that accessory. All cars come with the same wiring. Does the power seat switch have 12 volts present?

try another dealer. maybe try to get ahold of one of the techs at lunch time. this info should be free to the car owner, just be ready to supply the title to the car for some proof. maybe try buying the parts guys lunch or coffee and donuts....this usually works for this type of problem. unfortunaley this info really is dealer only..
