How do i know what amp my a6 quattro is? its a 98

Well if your talking about your alternator, than it's 120 which it will say on the alternator. but if your talking about a component in the dash board than it depends on the component but most-likely 20 amps.

I have a 98' A4

There is no simple way or answer for getting that cassette out. basically you have 2 choices. 1) Remove the radio and disassemble to radio so you can get to the cassette and remove it. 2) use a small screwdriver and pry the cassette up till it can be removed. Neither is a simple task and patience is a virtue when doing either as trying to force it too much will destroy the cassette and the radio itself.

Entering radio code

Turn on radio - the word SAFE will appear in the display. Press th P.SCAN and RBDS buttons simultaneously and hold them down until "1000" lights up in the display.Release buttons.Do not, under no circumtances, continue holding them down or press them once again. This will cause the radio to consider the number 1000 to be the input code.Use station buttons 1,2,3,and 4 to enter the code number on your Radio Card. Use the button 1 to enter the first number 2 for the second number 3 for the third number and 4 for the last number.Once you have entered the code and it shows on the display, press the P.SCAN and RBDS buttons down again simultaneously and hold them down until the word SAFE appears in the display.Release buttons. Soon afterwards a frequency will be displayed.

Coolent system fault symbol Audi A6

1998 Audi A6 2.8

It could be that the thermostat is stuck in the open position thus providing maximum coolant flow through the engine when the engine is still cold, ie from a cold start. (The thermo should close when the engine is stopped and cold and it opens up once the coolant temp increases and the engine has been running for a few minutes.) Once the engine is hot maximum coolant flow between engine and radiator is normal.

Do you also find that your heater takes a while to provide warm air to the cabin in winter when you notice this condition?

If you do not know when the thermostat was last changed then I would suggest you change it. ( If it malfunctions and sticks in the closed position you will really have a problem). The radiator/engine coolant could no doubt do with a flush and change in any event as it should be done every 2 years. If you don't know when it was last done - do it. Cooling systems tend to be a neglected part of essential vehicle maintenance.

What oil i need for an audi A6 1.9 tdi with

I've come to love the 100% synthetic oil I put in my 1998 Audi A6 Quattro. My fuel range increased, by what % I'm not sure but it's defenitely better. All I've read about synthetics compared to conventionals solves the many questions I've had. I used to run only conventionals in my nCadilac Northstar engines till one day it blew up. I homestly believe the engine would haave never had been dameged if I wiuld have had 100% synthrtics in ig.

Abs warning light is on and ebrake light flashed

Well most likely the brake fluid is a little low, or one of the abs wheel speed sensors is bad. Not a safety related problem exactly, but I would first make sure the brake reservoir is full, the make sure E brake is fully released. It could be that the mechanism is hanging up and causing the e brake to not be totally released. If the car free rollls when in nuetral., without the brakes grabbing and holding it back, then it could be the switch that hasn't completely switched off and is causing the light to flash ocasionally. Pull the emergency brake hanle up hard and release it quickly, to see if this makes the switch release etc.
