Vacuum pump
Hi Rudi, It would seem as if you have a brake booster failure, which means that either a vacuum hose is broken or detached, the one way valve has become defective in the same line or the servo diaphragm in the booster is damaged. Open the hood and look at the rear of the engine compartment. Behind the brake master cylinder is round container looking device. The brake master cylinder is bolted on in the center and it has a pipe joined to it. That is the vacuum pipe you need to inspect. The one way valve is also mounted between the two parts of the hose. Inspect those first and if the problem is with the servo, let me know so that we can continue. Regards John

What will my audi do if i have a bad tcm?
Sliding or problems with the gears is the first symthom, but before to change or replace some parts, I suggest scanned the TCM to know if some fault code is stored there; sometimes, solving the codes (as minor repair) save buy new TCM.Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback
