It's on the fuse box located under dash panel OR kick panel. The fuse box is mounted under the dash on the left SIDE above the dead pedal / rest. Black box 2" X 3", pop the cover off and there they are!

Have you replaced the EGR Valve? Also look at the Mass Air Flow Sensor. The EGR valve is located near the top rear of the engine on the drivers side, it has 1 hose coming out of it, with the vehicle running at normal operating temperature, remove that top hose, and the vehicle run like it is now, if it starts to stumble and dies, then the egr valve is bad.
The only way to check the Mass Air Flow Sensor is to take a volt meter and measure resistance, you should have .5 volts running into the hot with the other lead on a ground. You can also pull the air filter and visually inspect the mass air flow coil, if it looks brown then it is bad and needs replacing.

My first thought is "how long has this been going on?" . If it has just happened say after the last fill up, perhaps contaminated fuel is the issue. What do you mean by "cutting out"? Is it like a misfire or an absolute shut off?

Relaced all that and didn't check the catalitic converter. When you get codes for MAF sensor and 02 Sensors, the first place to check is vacuum leaks, if none are found then it would go right to the catalitic converter. You might want to consider another mechanic.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, please do check the vacuum hoses. If there are disconnected or worn out vacuum hoses the car's idle becomes unusual. One good reason why it goes up a little when braking.
Another cause will be the MAF (mass air flow) sensor. If the MAF sensor is fault, the car's idle becomes erratic. Your MAF sensor may be near it's break point so be ready for a possible replacement soon.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

There could be a leak in the tank somewhere. It may just be the gas cap not tightly connected. Check the canister for loose connections or the hoses in the area.

If it's cold in the area where you were driving, it's possible that you encountered black ice. Black ice is nearly undetectable and once you are on it you need to keep the steering straight and not brake at all. You should not make any abrupt changes in throttle position either. Four wheel drive cannot help you on that kind of road surface...once the wheels are slipping it doesn't matter how many wheels are pushing the vehicle.
If the weather was warm and you are absolutely certain that the road was good, have a competent shop check your steering components over very carefully. Having something like that happen a second time is not an option...next time you may hit something or someone.
