Electrical- something keeps killing my car battery.
Do a draw test on the battery and then start pulling fuses while you watch the amp meter.. Also check for lights left on like glove box light, vanity mirror lights left on in sun visors, these are the most common source of draws.
What do the letters vsc mean on the dash
Is you vsc light on by itself, or is it on with a Check Engine Light as well. If it is just the VSC light then you need a Zero-Point calibration. This is supposed to be only done at a toyota/lexus dealer. They take out the VSC computer and run their diagnostics program and reset and configure(calibrate) your vehicles VSC. I personally would disconnect both battery terminals for at least an hour, even better overnight, this should allow enough time to have all the electricity drain completely from those computers. Hopefully this would reset everything. I would try this before going to the dealer, try to save some money. If it is the VSC and CEL(Check Engine Light), then you would have to get the codes read at AutoZone....they do this for free unlike the dealer and then post your codes up on this forum. I lost my instruction manual
I own a 2002 lexus LS 430 with navigation system. The radio plays, but the volume and function on cd player does not work. The volume is real low and cant be turned up at all.
How do I install a navigation dvd on a 2002 Lexus
the unit locks shut when disc is installed. there is a tab on the front that you must slide to open position, when you do this disc will eject. when you install new one you must slide tab back to lock position

2002 LS 430 ULTRA STRUT FAILURE. ANY AFTER MARKET REPLACEMENTS?
You can fit standard struts and simply unplug the suspension control unit. You would need to change all 4 corners, i suggest spending a little bit more and getting either Bilsten or Koni struts and eibach brand coil springs, it will give the best suspension setup and the total cost for the lot would be less than the cost of one new strut, Also keep in mind that these fail and if you replace one then it's likely that another will fail in the near future.

If you're able to get into the car, pulling the hood latch lever the hood should open the hood...it doesn't use any power to open, it's all cable. If it still doesn't open...you might have a stuck latch lock. Have someone try to lift the hood while pulling the lever see if that works. If it doesn't work, your hood latch is stuck, but it doesn't require power to open. Hope this helps you open it.

How to replace Lexus LS430 trunk strut
it should just be a bolt on the end of the ball you need a thin wrench. or it could be a clip on the older ones that goes over the ball pop iy off with a screwdriver
