Check your vacuum brake booster; with the engine off, press firmly on the brake pedal, then start the engine.
If the pedal sinks noticeably, the booster is OK.
If it doesn't, the drum-like device between the fire wall and the master brake cylinder is bad and should be replaced.
If you can't get a good feel from this action, you should have a specialist check your brake system; this isn't something to ignore.
High idle aprox 2500 rpm.
Check the idle air control valve. It is mounted on the side of the throttle body. It acts like a choke on fuel injected engines. Here is a link with some pictures and prices for the 3.8 and 5.0 litre engines....i hope this helps.

Can you tell me where
The thermostat is located under the gooseneck at the end of the engine side of the top radiator hose. After it is completely cooled off ,preferably after sitting all night you can release any pressure by removing the radiator cap. Then loosen the hose clamp at the goose neck and you will be able to see it inside. You will have to take out the two bolts in the neck to gain access to it. Remember you will need to drain some of the coolant into a drain pan from the lower radiator petcock beforehand. Also dont leave the coolant sitting as cats and other animals will drink it and die.
